If he is not graduating and intends to play D1 I think he'll have to go the Baptiste route. Summer school and if he is stil short credits sit out next fall while finishing up, graduate in December then have 1 1/2 years of eligibility left.

Last I checked, 1 1/2 is more than 1. So there's that.

Why is everyone so sure he’s not graduating in 3 years? Unique McLean wasn’t even sure he’d be academically eligible his first year here and managed to graduate in 3 years

Transfer credits? They don’t always line up... I’m not sure. My guess is he will graduate over the summer. He’s been going to school year round and not playing for near half of it.

May have been mentioned elsewhere, but also putting this in his thread...

Hayward says he'll go to Vanguard University of Southern California.

They're NAIA, but they did make the NAIA tournament this past season.

Hayward has started 4 games for Vanguard and is averaging 9.5 which is 4th on the team. They're 3-2. If you'd rather watch Vanguard play Southern Oregon than watch UMass play Virginia this Saturday, click on this link http://www.vanguardlions.com/
You know you do.

I had higher expectations for this kid, as did others. I wish him well. Did he graduate from UMass?

I'm pretty sure he didn't but I might be wrong. Since he transferred out of NCAA Div 1 he could play without sitting out a year.

He was a true freshman in the 2016-17 season, so on the four year pace, he'd graduate this coming spring.

Not sure anyone cares but Hayward isn't on the Vanguard roster. Pretty sure he has eligibility this year. Maybe with the pandemic he decided to head back to Australia. I have way too much time on my hands.

Kieran popped up on my Twitter feed. Looks he's been invited to training camp for the G-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce
https://siouxfalls.gleague.nba.com/news ... mp-roster/

I tried to find what I could about his recent playing career.

With Vanguard University in the 2019-20 season, he put up a meh 6.5 points, 2.2 rebounds.
https://www.vanguardlions.com/stats/201 ... amcume.htm

Apparently he went from Vanguard to University of Antelope Valley in Lancaster, CA. Enrollment 800. Another NAIA school. Their 2020-21 season ended early, and it looks like they only got in 1 game. Kieran got 13 points in that game.
