I've heard that his ankle is still bothering him, but that's not confirmed. I don't think they can afford to red shirt him with the short roster they have.

^ They probably could, given that our big men isn't where the deficiency is. His minutes will be very limited unless we use him at the 3 sometimes.

^ Next week we have 4 games in 7 days. If he's healthy by then, and going to play at all this year, it'll be then. The usual guys will be gassed.

Red shirting him? Interesting thought. I saw Turner-Morris play a little against Springfield College and he did OK. He looks to be a traditional back to the basket center. Could spell Holloway in a pinch. But, maybe MM wants to red shirt?

I don't see how you can redshirt him with the possibility of two big men being graduate transfers next year, and also the limited option of playing four guards when you only have five you are willing to play this year. Seems like there will be minutes available, and the opportunity for experience this year.

Agreed. With only 8 scholarship players it would seem foolish to cut it to 7. I also went to the SC exhibition and he looked OK.

I think the issue is in reality, Rashaan, Malik, and KTM are all centers. I get that our roster is really short this year, but the five is where we have our greatest depth. I think you can get by playing two of the three in short stretches, but not necessarily for long ones. It seemed against Harvard, they got a couple of their transition opportunities when one of their bigs ran the floor and one ours didn't keep up.

At any rate if you want Rashaan playing 25-30 minutes at least, Malik 20-25 minutes at least and then Baldwin 20-25 minutes at least, that doesn't leave many minutes at all for KTM, especially when you factor in McCall going small for stretches with only one of Rashaan, Malik, and Baldwin out there.

Khalea's looking really strong out there. To me, it looks like he might have the greatest upside of any of our current bigs.

That’s up and under he did in the first half was very fluid and definitely will translate into points. Looks pretty solid out there for a freshman.

It's kinda scary to think what he will look like with a college strength and conditioning program. He is already pretty built and seems like a good athlete. With Baldwin only a sophomore we have some athletic tough guys for a while.

Is KTM going to play again this year? I thought concussion symptoms generally subside after 10 days or so. I guess it depends on the severity.

Maybe he is leaving the program and doesn't want to get injured

McCall mentioned on last night's radio show that he has returned to full practice and is expected to play Wednesday at Richmond.
