Safe to say that Jarreau was a big factor for the Miami Heat summer league team. Took 2 shots in the final 30 seconds, 1 was a potential game winner - he missed both unfortunately.

Brison Gresham to use the extra year eligibility and play at Texas Southern.

Re: NOLA DUO GONE!!!!!
strong Summer League performance has made DeJon Jarreau a leading candidate to grab one of the Heat‘s open two-way slots, writes Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald. A thigh contusion forced Jarreau to miss the two games in Sacramento, but he was among the team’s best players in Las Vegas, averaging 11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists.
The 23-year-old guard played for Miami this summer after going undrafted out of Houston and finds himself in an open competition for a two-way deal. Both of last season’s two-way players, Max Strus and Gabe Vincent, have received standard contracts.
“With DeJon, it’s just his makeup,” said Summer League coach Malik Allen. “He finds a way to put his imprint on the game … He has the vision and it’s just a matter of trying to harness the things that we see so he can keep growing and getting better as an NBA point guard.”

Congrats to him. Honestly I didn’t think he had much of a shot to make the nba… he’s proven me wrong. Great work!

A lot of posts by a lot of people related to this didn't age well.
Congrats to him... he's worked hard and has some more work to do. A huge "What If..." situation here, which of course we are dealing with again.

Re: NOLA DUO GONE!!!!!
technically he is not on an nba roster, he is a two way player. CJ Anderson was once signed as a two way player with the Hawks.. There is a bit of a logjam at the 1 in Indy, with Brogdan and TJ. Hope he makes it and i just wonder how that class would have been if bamford wouldnt have canned DK.

^ I almost hate to revive this topic, but what the hell.
1. DK fired himself. Underperforming teams with above average talent. See below for the stats of the top 10 recruiting class.
2. I don't understand the love for Deeky. He was immature when he was here and it was about him, not the team. He matured at Houston.
3. He didn't do all that much for us on the court for a top 100 recruit and the locker room was a mess. Here are the stats:

OK. I've said my piece. I hope Deeky does well and hold no ill will toward him but he wasn't nearly as good here as some folks remember.

^Agree. Was not sad to see him go.
Re: NOLA DUO GONE!!!!!
Sampson was a good coach for him at Houston, doesn't take any shit, and you either earn it, or you sit. Thats what DJ needed, and most likely why he matured there. Not a favorite of mine, but you gotta give anyone who can get a shot in the league credit. Low % ever sniff the chance to make a roster

Bingo across the board. And he still has a lot of work to do.

DJ has gotten his first playing time in the NBA and has appeared in 4 games for the Pacers. Not much in the way of minutes, and he has only put up meaningful stats in one game, but he made it.
