Re: NOLA DUO GONE!!!!!
One of my favorite UMass moments ever was watching the live commitment of Deeky and Brison. Picking up the Miami hat just to fake it and then putting on the UMass hat, and then immediately I went crazy!!
Well, they will be missed, BIG TIME!

If they don't want to be here then it is best to give them their release and let the coach find new replacements.

so be it. Pipkins can play his natural position and if Baldwin stays more time for him. jareau was great to the hoop but was atrocious from 3.

I've said since the day DK was fired it was the wrong move right now.
He deserved 1 more year with development and maturity of these guys. Even if they did ax him after this next season, it puts so many of these guys in a tough transferring spot. With three years left, no doubt they transfer. With 2 years? Much tougher decision.
We could be in for a long, long next 2-3 years.

Oh so now people are going to try and pretend our best recruit in the last 10+ years wasn't that good?bunkerhill87 wrote:so be it. Pipkins can play his natural position and if Baldwin stays more time for him. jareau was great to the hoop but was atrocious from 3.

Yeah WTF? Am I missing something? Why is Jarreau's transfer being celebrated?

DK didn't deserve the 9 years he got here. He is a horrible coach and deserved shit. This program will be far better in the future without him and without players who don't want to be here. The basketball we saw much of last season was atrocious and unacceptable. DK deserved to get fired, nothing more.

Since when is saying "so be it" celebrating anything? We can't change what's happened here and it's unfortunate they're leaving...but you've got to be kidding yourself if you think Kellogg deserved any more time. He had 9 freaking years to figure it out. We had our best recruiting class probably ever, and he couldn't coach us to even a .500 record.CarriageEstates22 wrote:chdavis295 wrote:Oh so now people are going to try and pretend our best recruit in the last 10+ years wasn't that good?bunkerhill87 wrote:so be it. I believe it is in their best interest to go different places. The twin act isn't working. I hope they realize that.

if you didnt see this coming the day DK was fired, you're a fool.
this program is taking 3 steps back before its going to take any forward. might be good in the long run, but these next few years are gonna suuuuuuuck

That's what many said after year 3, and again after year 7, and after year 8, and now 9. The last class that just needed development and maturity never seemed to quite get there. Vinson, Riley and Farrell never played in an NCAA tournament game and Putney, Esho and Carter enjoyed one quick exit. For their part, Chaz and Lalanne had one quick sniff of glory.chdavis295 wrote:I've said since the day DK was fired it was the wrong move right now.

I just wish they could have kept DK, so striving for mediocrity would continue to be the shrinking fan base's battle cry.
