Bumping this. Not overlooking the Duquesne game at all, but I plan on going down to Kingston next Wednesday as long as there's no snow falling. It would be awesome to get a great contingent of UMass fans in the building as it's looking like one of the biggest URI - UMass regular season matchups in a long time.

That game could be huge.

Between now and then:
This Saturday
Duqies at UM
Bona at Dayton
VCU at GW
SLU at Rhody
Home teams look to be favored in all of those. VCU is cold (lost 3 of last 4), and GW has motivation being just 1 game back of the current 1st place tie.

SLU at VCU on Tuesday, and you gotta think VCU should take that one.

UM at Rhody could separate the tie, for the moment.
SJU at Dayton on Thursday.

But as you said, gotta take care of bizness first with the Duqies.

If we beat Duquesne, I might have to take a sick day...

I normally make this trip, but my flight to Richmond is Wednesday night... yes, I know... poor planning on my part.

Huge game, but even bigger if we hold serve Saturday.

Biggest game of the year. A win gets us in fantastic shape for a bye. I don't know, URI is way past due to break our heart/screw up our season. A win also puts us firmly in the conversation for an at-large, but I still doubt we have the chops to get the selection committee's attention realistically. Go UMass!

Yup, this is THE game. Take this game down there and we have serious momentum and control of our destiny. Taking another one from URI will be tough and they'll be ready to get the monkey off their back. This will show us alot. Love how everyone is stepping up their games at the right time and really digging in defensively. Mass time baby. Go UMass!

Huge game. I'm going to have to get the WIFI on the plane to watch/listen to the 2nd half. I want this game, badly. You always need to beat URI, always.

Anyone considering making the trek from the NYC metro area? Could probably pull a half day and make the trek if someone wanted to split gas. If anyone's driving through New Haven, I could potentially meet there as well.

Because Hurley refuses to play zone, we're always going to match up decently well with his teams. The key is to keep their bigs off the glass and for our bigs to stay out of foul trouble. We can withstand one of their guards getting hot, but we'll lose if both get hot. I'm worried about EC, since he was relatively quiet against us the first time around. If we can extend their D a bit with some early threes from Clark/Dyson, we'll have a good shot, but I'm not overly confident because at some point Hurley has to get the money off his bank. DK can't beat him every single time. The law of averages will eventually bite us. It's also going to be a very tough environment and a revenge game for them. I don't expect to get many calls. Just hope we can gut it out and find a way.
