If he is just a walk-on caliber player, would it be a positive or negative to have him on the team? The "buzz" of having coach Cal's son on the team vs. the potential distraction. I don't have an answer to this.njumass08 wrote: He seems like a walk-on type guy anyways.

If he's good enough maybe he plays for Dave Hixon across town?

He'd be a really good player for 3-4 years at Amherst, but he's a scholarship player, high D2 is probably the perfect spot for him.
Hire Matt McCall!
Re: KAEO Brad Calipari (2016)
I'd say he's definitely worth the minimal risk associated if he's not even taking up a scholarship.69MG wrote:If he is just a walk-on caliber player, would it be a positive or negative to have him on the team? "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

^ Sure makes use of the whole rim on his shots!
Re: KAEO Brad Calipari (2016)
He definitely doesn't look like he has the total package to be a great D1 player, but if he can hit 3's he could maybe contribute at some point during his career and if he's a walk-on then there's very little risk.
Re: KAEO Brad Calipari (2016)
Its just that one video I watched but he sure doesn't look like a basketball player. You wonder how much harder or easier it will be for him to progress through the ranks on the basis of his last name.

Clear nepotism but oh well, who's actually surprised. Calipari is the godfather at UK, he can do whatever he wants to do.

^ You know he's not going to play, right? He isn't getting a scholarship, not a big deal. Cal could get a staff discount on tuition, but will probably pay full freight! Unless his kids' tuitions are part of his contract.....lol.
