I guess I should've been more clear, as I agree with you guys re: NBA exposure. I was refuting the original tweet that said to lay off Jarreau because "he's just trying to give himself a better opportunity to go pro." If Jarreau feels leaving UMass for Creighton/UConn/Seton Hall/Auburn gives him a better chance to go pro, then why didn't he feel Miami gave him a better chance to go pro coming out of high school? Plain and simple, Jarreau left because his buddy DK got fired - he wasn't staying here to play for whoever UMass might've hired.

Great stuff Tom and to your point minutemaniac that's why I really like to see a strong OOC schedule. I hate the cupcake schedules because about the only knock you can put on UMass vs a power conference is the caliber of competition being better night in night out. But a strong OOC levels that playing field.

Anywhere, anyplace, anytime.

I agree with refuting the original tweet. He's getting and taking bad advise if he thinks transferring to a higher profile school/conference in and of itself will get him closer to the League.

He needs to realize that ultimately it's up to him to perform.

Deeky scored his first NBA point tonight.

Anyone know any other UMass guys that have scored in "The League" besides these?

Erving, Skinner, Roe, Camby, Ketner, Lasme, Forbes, Jarreau, .......

AJ Wynder is listed on the Umass reference page but it looks like he was a redshirt 82-83 before playing 4 years at Fairfield. He played 6 games for the Celtics

^ No, per Wiki, but the list of teams he has played for is long and the locations are mind bending. :)
