Mike Mole missed the first ten in the fall of 1961 and then led us to the 62 Dance. True story.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
From Pittsfield, MA. Saw him play a lot in high school.

Do you mean Mike Johnson? Or were you kidding about the "true story" part?
Mike Mole was the captain and best player. Mike Johnson was a bit player. I was a Collegian sports reporter. Mole had to sit out the first semester. Mole and Peter Bernard were an outstanding backcourt that very few here know existed.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Ok, thanks for the clarity... you might want to email the Department to update their Archives:

He is in our record books, though:

Gresham had quite the debut, gets announced into the game then the roof leaks, a long delay, he grabs a rebound. Goes to the FT line and shoots an air-ball. When he is making all A10 he'll look back and laugh at his debut.

Mike Mole '62 probably makes the All-Mike Umass first team along with Pagliara '72, Pyatt '78, Stokes '76 and Williams '95.

I'll save you the trip to wiki part of the website and list the remaining Mikes: Ahearn (captain of the 1904 team), Babul '00, Byrnes '90, Frodyma '42, Grammel '79, Johnson '64, Jones '04, Meola '67, Mendy '86, Sinn '07, Wojewodzic '15

MVP obviously is Mike Fetterer.

Brisony really ignited the crowd when he was fronting Tacko and ripped a pass right out of Tacko's hands

^ Yeah, he did! Of all our bigs, he played Tacko the toughest.

To Old Cage and any others--- if there is anyone else---I take pride in being the guy who put Peter Bernard from 61 and 62on his all time favorite 5.The excitement and energy that was created.Never forgot!
Who else.. Tony Gaffney, Lou Roe,Chaz Williams and Harper Williams to name a few...And the Calapari teams...Got to love basketball!!! 8)

He didn't play much yesterday, but those few minutes he seemed lost. He'll get there, I chalk that up to freshman lapses.
