The Legends ceremony happened during the A10 tourney. Lari's wife offered this:

^Lari's wife has done a tremendous job honoring his memory and keeping his spirit live since he has passed. Glad to see Lari get the recognition he deserves, not just for basketball but the way he fought and lived in his final year on earth. Rest peacefully big man

Not sure if you saw this but it's pretty cool...you can see Lari on the sideline.

Nice article that I thought folks here might enjoy. It was posted to Lari's FB page, which is still active, by a friend of his that also looks to be a UMass alum (maybe a poster here?).

Really enjoyed that, including the game video.

Great article and Lari was a warrior on the boards for UMass. Came to UMass at a time when we had heated rivalries with Philadelphia schools especially Temple and St. Joe’s . Took a great deal of courage to head to NE and leave the Philly area. Happy for his son and going to play @ Bryant is a great thing. Great place with hard working coaches. Wish him well and his Dad was a great player @ UMass. Sad that he left us too soon may he RIP and he passed that love of basketball to his son and he will make your family proud and continue that tradition of playing Div 1 basketball. Great story and all the luck in the world your dad will be watching from above.

Thanks for posting that.

It would've been cool if there was a spot for him at UMass....a team loaded with the sons of alums! 8)

Thanks for the post IV.
After his second season he could have left for the NBA and maybe have been a lottery pick, but stayed. Real tragedy to die so you don’t.

Great post all around. Loved the video of that UMass team. Looking at that starting line up, it's hard to believe they lost a game all season.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.
