^ Excellent

He seems genuinely excited about it. More excited than I was back in the day.

Awesome news and great for Marcus and for the University! He's been nothing but fantastic towards the University since he made his mistake and we should all be proud, not only for what he did during his time in school, but for what he's become.

Congrats, Marcus!

Guy made $130 million over his NBA career according to the 30for30 on Cal. I'll give him credit for coming back to complete his degree. When I made my first $130M, I had a hard time concentrating on my studies.
This is the most enjoyable losing season ever!

Time to retire #21!

Yeah he messed up once when he was young, who hasn't.

He showed what kind of person he is by paying the school back and by coming back to UMass to EARN his degree.

I, for one, am proud to call him a fellow alum and I'm proud of what he accomplished here, both on the court then and off the court, now.

Absolutely awesome story and excellent write up by Matty. Well done, Marcus.

Alright, I'l be the first to be crass enough to ask if his daughter plays hoops and when we can start an KAEO thread.
