KAEO: Chaz Williams
Re: KAEO: Chaz Williams
Chaz seems to be doing OK in Geneva. Wish him the best.

Chaz with a nice dish to Antonio Ballard for a runner at the buzzer to win their last game. Team is now 4-0.

Fourth-seeded Geneva advances to the finals against the one-seed Monthey in the championship finals.

Looking at the Stats tab, it looks like recently-acquired Kelvin Parker is taking some of Chaz' assists away from him, but Chaz is still doing okay with 11.2 pts, 5.1 reb, and 4.6 ast (and his .1 blocked shots).
I still gotta think that DK would give Chaz a job, especially if Chaz wanted to settle into one place for his daughter.

^ yeah I hadn't thought of that - Brooklyn, no less.
This is the most enjoyable losing season ever!

Not sure about DK giving him a job... Chaz went pretty much rogue the 2nd half of his senior year.
Re: KAEO: Chaz Williams
Doesn't rogue have some connotation of breaking rules or laws? If there are no rules or laws to follow can you really go rogue?

When a player does what they want.. that's going rogue.
Re: KAEO: Chaz Williams
But isn't that what DK's system was? Letting the players "make plays."

That's funny...go rogue. Like DK even had an offense to "go rogue" from. He couldn't draw up an out-of-bounds play in 9 years (yes, he did draw 1 up this last year-1).
Re: KAEO: Chaz Williams
yea no shit.. unless if by going rouge they mean taking the team to the first tournament since the late 90's.InnervisionsUMASS wrote:Chaz didn't go rogue.

The 2nd half of that year Chaz did what was best for chaz. DK wouldnt/couldn't do anything because he sold his soul to make the NCAA.. most players would have been benched for some of the shit he pulled.

Re: KAEO: Chaz Williams
By "sold his soul", you mean built a pretty good team and did a decent enough job of coaching them, right?
The second half of that season I saw Chaz do all the same things he did in the first half of the season. Less shots fell, they lost a couple tight games, and we know what happened in said NCAA Tournament game.
