5'11 pg who plays for lawrence academy. A lightning quick guard who can fill up a stat

He just recently had a 47 point performance last weekend at the hall of fame spring classic

Well he has a sweet name, so lets get him, and we could use a point guard now

“The schools that go fast [and] . . . fit my type of basketball,” are those that Shabazz said he is looking for.
DK might not be the best match. Hate to say it, but maybe TF. I think we're looking more for a tall guy who's a good passer and great at finishing around the rim. And likes to play defense.

Game film from Shabazz's AAU team down in Nationals. Now you can see why this summer he has blown up and being recruited heavily (at the 5:40 mark you can see DK amongst many other coaches). This is the PG we want and he recently took a visit to campus.

Keep in mind this all comes from just 1 game. BTW, #25 in white is Austin Rivers (Doc's son) who has already committed to Florida.

Kid shows a pretty quick release on his jumper although he kicks his leg out and seems to fade away. Seems like he has good instincts.

He's visited UMass and Providence unofficially thus far and has offers from us as well as some Big East and CUSA teams.

NERR has him at #2 in New England out of class of 2011 (behind Nadir Tharpe). Scout apparently has him as #39 in the class of 2011.

Sounds like he's getting a lot of attention. Good to see DK being mentioned as following him in person while others are sending assistants.

ESPN has him at #56 in his class with a rating of 93

I don't like this quote from that article:
Napier rattled off a number of schools who are expressing interest in him.

Memphis, Providence, Seton Hall, South Florida, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Alabama, Tulane and Virginia Commonwealth are all potential Division-I suitors.

From Wikipedia: According to Nation of Islam doctrine Shabazz was an ancient scientist from Mecca who led the "original people" of the Tribe of Shabazz into Africa. The name has been taken by several individuals since.

So he's 5'10" and can score a bunch on "undersized" players. Have to agree with Len here. Not sure this kid is a good fit for DK. And we have yet to see if our current freshman can handle those extra fancy passes. I'm not sold on this guy at all.

I second that. . .though he must have some serious skills if he's really being recruited by that list. . .prefer Duren at 6'1" 180.
