3 of the Top 5 recruits have committed to UK next season to play for Calipari but yeah Kentucky's finest wants him gone. Not much logic in that state.

i suspect Coach Cal will end up in TV for a few years and then come out of retirment at age 70 and bring UMass back to Final Four
Re: Calipari to Kentucky?
Kentucky fans are definitely spoiled and have some crazy high expectations but UK hasn’t been great this year.

Hey, it happens to everybody in coaching, if you don't win you're out, especially at Kentucky! It's time for him to retire or move on!

Re: Calipari to Kentucky?
He's not going anywhere as long as they keep securing top-level talent in future years. Even though other schools have caught up to the "one and done" game and Kentucky isn't alone there anymore, I do think kids still see Coach Cal as their best route to the NBA. But, it comes with the territory of being the coach at Kentucky.
Look at Ryan Day at Ohio State in football. Guy is 45-5 in (essentially) 4 years at the school, but hasn't won a title yet and has lost back-to-back games to Michigan (his only Big 10 losses) and there are some saying he should go into next year on the hot seat. Just comes with the territory and I'm sure Cal is aware of that and probably embraces it as well.
Also, Kentucky of late, seems to be the team that hits their stride around January anyway. We'll see how conference play goes.

How can you not like Cal? With all his big contracts, profile, and big programs, he ALWAYS celebrates his UMass roots

If Calipari was so conscious about his roots he would offer a home and home game against Kentucky.

Why, so he could embarass us? You really think we could have given them a competitive game? Seems exactly why he wouldn't do it, doesn't want to kick us down any more

Enjoying ‘One and Not Done’ again on ESPNU.
