OK. I forgot which class he was in.

He reclassified. He was in 2025 before he transferred to WMA.Plano Minuteman wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 5:46 pmSame, I was thinking this year as well. Thanks for the link, Mike.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbzbSqyQvro had this in another post. Well worth the watch. A very candid assessment. I was unsure about him but I understand the dynamic all coaches are facing. NCAA's fault for be so rigid and blind .

Yep. 100%. Let’s not forget what the FBS/MAC crowd has wrought.MikeUMA wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 2:28 pm My take: it's just an inherent bummer that we're downgrading leagues.
As far as Frank goes, can we just get our hockey coach to take on hoops, too?

Wrought by the fans? C’mon man. Football fans don’t want the program to fold. FCS is not an option-financially it is a loser. The all MAC move is on the AD. His hires are what have produced the lackluster results which have provided no other option for FBS level football than this move. Football fans are also hoops fans. Just stop.JoleonLescottsHair wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:44 pmYep. 100%. The all MAC move IS on Bamford…with plenty of pressure from the FBS crew. They pushed, he folded. They hate each other, but somehow seem so perfectly paired.minutefanjsf wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 8:09 amWrought by the fans? C’mon man. Football fans don’t want the program to fold. And, the ‘FCS is not an option’ argument and we had no choice but to “upgrade” (and remain after failure) gets repeated. I’m well aware of that talking point. But that was/is a choice. A bad one, but a choice. Nothing more. But, hey, revenue!
So, just stop.

If Frank can't figure out how to assemble a tournament-worthy roster this offseason, he should resign.

Re: Coach Frank Martin
Frank’s halftime speech probably went something like: “I don’t know what else to do, I can’t make you play hard, it’s up to you, it’s up to you to play as a team, and not have a me attitude, and follow through.”
We come out the second half confused and in disbelief that we didn’t even try to change our gameplan and strategy but Frank stayed with his typical too cool for school drill instructor mentality.
Frank in his post conference “we need to execute better. I can’t shoot the shots for the guys. They need to figure it out and come ready to play.”
Is Frank not understanding if the guys are coming out not ready to play, then that’s completely on him.

Empty the bench and give some good time to those guys who never see the floor.

He also said that they don't have the talent to win a game like that... well coach.. that's your fault.

Re: Coach Frank Martin
In his postgame presser, Frank again mentioned guys like Tony Bennett and Jay Wright (and add Jim Larranaga), who hung it up and called it a career, rather than deal with this new world of NIL and the Portal. I feel like he's see himself with those guys and getting close to saying F this.
He's on a pretty good financial deal thru the 2028-29 season. I'm not sure if he sticks it out that long.

^ If he bows out because he can't handle the new college basketball landscape, then it just makes him look like more of a hypocrite. You can't talk about getting into your feelings, and rising to meet the moment, and preparing for life's adversity and all the Church of Frank Martin stuff, and then walk away leaving players you recruited out in the wind just because there's a new-fangled thing called a transfer portal. I honestly think he sticks around and continues, but my god, all the whining about transfers and NIL. Shut the F up, adapt, and coach. Quit bitching.
