Maybe a nice trip to DC for a couple of days for our last A10 tournament. Or catch VCU/UMass at Richmond. Good luck Berk!

NO I am not doing any traveling. Got diagnosed with arthritis in my back and am awaiting for the doctors office to schedule some therapy for me. Heck I will be 88 in Jan.

Glad you are doing well at 88. My mom who lived til 92 and enjoyed every day said”if you live long enough you will get something.” Thanks for all your years of being a true UMass fan. You got to experience some great UMass sports events.

Berky, hope your therapy goes well. Also, A10 Media Day is Monday. Diggins and Curry should get some recognition, but I suspect we'll be picked somewhere between 7-10.

Last year we were picked 13th and Matt Cross was picked 3rd team. Nobody else got a mention. That's all we need to know.

Today is A10 media day. The preseason poll was just announced and we came in at 9th: https://atlantic10.com/news/2024/10/6/v ... nced.aspx?

All content is supposedly on ESPN+ and the Field of 68 will be broadcasting their content on Youtube.

Frank and Rahsool will be on with the Field of 68 at 10:45 and have their press conference at 11:05: https://publish.twitter.com/?url=https: ... 143173377#

Rahsool was picked for the preseason third team. Nobody made the all-defensive preseason team, which is kind of a kick to the nards for a Frank Martin team. I expected Jayden Ndjique to get on there, and if Shahid is the shot block monster that he's supposed to be, he might make all-defensive at the end of the year.

Well, take care of yourself Berkman. Sounds like you've done a lot of traveling anyway. Hitting 88, damn I'll be happy to make 68. At least you can watch the games on cable

The interesting note I took from A10 media day yesterday was that Frank mentioned that Rahsool will be playing some point this year, and it's because Rahsool asked for that responsibility. We were picked 9th, and I personally take zero stock in preseason rankings. Its just bulletin board material for Frank and the guys in their last A10 season.

^ How accurate was last year's poll? The 2 teams that tied for first, Loyola and Richmond, were picked 8th and 11th. We finished 4th and were picked 13th. So let the games begin and let's surprise people again.

Kevin Sweeney of SI has 4 A10 teams in his mid-major preview, VCU, St Louis, Loyola, and Dayton. I think the top of the A10 is going to be very tough this year, and I'm not sure I see us making it back to the top 4. We were picked 9th, I think 6th is what I'm shooting for, anything higher would be gravy.
