Hey we have our first winning streak in nearly two months!

Certainly wasn’t perfect and felt like there were quite a few moments where they could have put it away earlier but never felt in doubt.

Defended well for the most part, rebounded well for the most part, took care of the ball well except for a couple of stretches and RJ just continues to blossom offensively.

That Jimmy Clark dude is a player.

Now let’s see if they can get a W on the road.

Solid win without 2 of our top players. RJ and DD big games. Will need all hands on deck on the road vs GM.
Go UMass!

If these three guys can’t start, I’d go with, Diggins, Keon, DD, RJ and Leveque. Play Kante, Gapare and any of Noah, TJ, Matt off the bench depending on their health.

Whenever UMass plays Duquesne pleasant memories of Alex Eldridge eating Norm Nixon’s lunch in the Springfield CC when the Cage was being refurbished….I wanna say 1975-ish. 8)

Had nothing to do with a Cage refurbishment. Used to play a Springfield Civic Center games during Intersession month when there were no students on campus. FYI - Alex Eldridge’s senior season was ‘77-‘78. Along with Claiborne and Pyatt. Donoghue and Town were seniors in ‘76-‘77.
Cage refurbishment and temporary home being SCC was in the mid 80’s, that was when I became a season ticket holder.

Great team effort especially having two key guys out… guard play has been very good filling in for Noah and helping out at the 2; RJ is an emerging star, as he carried the team again tonight…. But not without solid contributions from the two big guys at the 5, and DD having a Cross- like double-double. Also nice to see Tafara make an impact in the game with several key plays on both ends… his Dad was enjoying every minute as he and several other court side guests tried getting the Mullins crowd going; hopefully the energy will start to spread throughout the Mullins Center as the team continues to improve, and the powers that be can ( at some point) find a solution to all the empty seats behind the basket while the students are away. Keep working hard and congratulations on a great night tonight!

2 very nice wins this week while short handed. Opportunity is there for a decent league finish if they can get a couple road wins.

That was a nice win. Team played with energy and very unselfish. DD was tough tonite, hit the glass hard and picked up the double double. Wildens and Isaac battled inside all nite. RJ with a big nite, many pts at the line. Thought Keon played a good game as well, kid is tough and is unfazed with running things. Good to see him get some shots to drop

Decent crowd but would love to see 6000+ regularly in there to give these guys a push. Been a while since the Bill was rockin'

Keep building guys, things looking to be going in a good direction

RJ's 17 made FT's ties for the 3rd most in a UMass game EVER.

Julius Erving (1970) - 19
Trey Davis (2015) - 18
Robert Barrows (1923) - 17
Al Skinner (1971) - 17
Lou Roe (1994) - 17
RJ Luis (2023) - 17

Go UMass!
Not just missing Noah and Cross, but TJ was playing only because the other 2 were out. He's about 75%. Then, Diggins comes up limping and he was about half speed after that. He had a cane next to him on the bench for a spell. We needed Keon tonight and he came through.

I'd call that a really gutsy win. DD's energy is through the roof and he is impacting the game in so many ways. I was a little disappointed when I saw the crowd listed at 3,810. It seemed like a bit more than that and the team deserves more than that. They played hard for all 40 minutes. It wasn't always pretty but the effort was there all game.

Let's hope Noah and Matt are ready to go on Wed. GMU is never easy, especially at their place.

People will start coming back and i suspect there will be larger crowds at the last 4 games, especially next Sat and vs Dayton. I think the team being marginal to bad along with covid hurt attendance. I know we will never see another Cal era with the place banged out every game, but I do think we will get back to where it was under Ford and most of the Kellogg era's. 5k on weekdays and 7-8K on Saturdays should be the goal.

Another impressive win. Is this team turning the corner? My expectation for this team had always been to struggle early and then start to click right around February. I think we got a little spoiled early on, but they may be hitting their stride. With Noah out, Rahsool and Keon have built some much needed confidence. Dyondre continues to emerge as an absolute rocket ship of energy, and RJ has become an elite scorer. I'm starting to get excited again. George Mason on Wednesday will be tough, and then I expect a really good home crowd on Feb 4th for Dr J day against Davidson.

I thought Keon’s play was one of the reasons the team struggled early in conference but he was very solid in the last 2 wins. He’s got some limitations at this level, namely size and 3 point shooting, but he’s a smart/tough player. He’s not in an easy position with Noah out, but he’s starting to figure out how to be productive in conference.

The roster is so deep for the A10, if they can keep improving good things are going to happen.

Keon has been very important, FM goes with him and RD at times and it works well. FM did a great job managing the last 4:17 with guys who don’t turn it over and make free throws all in the game.
Good win

Franks been pushing the right buttons the last couple games for sure. I’m not at the games, so hard to tell, but I feel like he’s toned down the sideline demeanor in these 2 wins. Maybe just because the guys are playing the way he wants.
