I don't know who Jeremy and Ryan are, but it's nice to see our guy listed, especially in a group of larger hoops schools.

Rothstein predicted that Gapare would start when he visited during workouts. His picture still isn’t on the team roster and we haven’t seen him in videos or pictures?

Sage, on one of his Spaces tonight, mentioned that he also noticed the lack of Gapare in the recent practice pictures.

We're at September 29 now. That's not a good sign if he's going to be eligible this semester.

With his reclassification in August, and being an international player, maybe he's having trouble getting cleared.

He's also been silent on social media (Twitter and Instagram) since his verbal.

Not having Gapare for a semester (remember Dibaji's problem getting cleared?) would suck. My feeling is that not having him knocks our ceiling down a bit. It also hurts his development. Bad deal all around. Let's hope for the best.

It may not hurt his development with a staff being led by someone that knows what they are doing. He can still play and get, at least, off hand direction from the staff related to basketball activities, while also working on his body and nutrition, and continuing to get acclimated to the US and the academics here.

If it means 4 years of him starting next season rather than this one, so be it. And I'd much prefer them not bring him in for a half season either.... That didn't end up being a good idea with Walker (didn't like it at the time either).

^ I think that is part of the business plan. The hockey teams line charts don’t appear on the Hockey East site game day, unlike the rest of the league.

Football lists 5 players as equals as the #1 QB.

And basketball is keeping the BB NEP information path approach!

You've definitely been consistent on that, and I'll be consistent that if he's available for second semester (assuming he isn't available for the first) I want him added and available. With the transfer portal the way it is, there's no guarantee that a player will stay any longer than the one year they're committed. Also, I think that this team is going to struggle to click early, and then improve and be a beast by March. If they can add Gapare in as a role player, even if it's only for Jan/Feb/March, I think that helps.

Maybe someone can remind me, because I don't remember so good, but did things go poorly for Dibaji and the team when he was given eligibility back in the 2019/20 season? I feel like he was integrated well and looking at the stats, he played almost 18 mins/game and was the high scorer twice. The team went 8-11 (they were 6-6 before his arrival) and was improving heading into the cancelled A10 tournament game with VCU.

I’ve seen a couple of stories in the Gazette on Martin and the start of the season and the Collegian should be back in the swing of things, but haven’t seen anything on Gapare’s situation. Certainly a reporter can just ask him what’s going on. Seems easy 🤷‍♂️

I have reached out to a couple of people who should (might?) know and I'm getting crickets. A very odd situation for sure.
