Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
Just watched the Fordham-Davidson game and Fordham almost pulled off the upset. Some questionable calls at the end didn't help them.
Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
GW beat URI 63-61. URI shot 2/19 from three and 15/31 from the line. You can't credit defense for poor free throw shooting. Can they possibly repeat this when we play them?
Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
A-10 teams expected to be below UMass all seem better than I thought so far. Fordham already with 2 A10 wins and very nearly beat Davidson today. GW already with 2 wins, besting GMU and then today's road win @ URI. St. Joe's already with 2 wins, having crushed Richmond by 27 in a road game. La Salle only 1 win (over St. Joe), but looked like they had URI beat before barely losing that one by 2. GMU lost to GW after their covid pause, making me think they weren't much until they beat Dayton today. Of course, just about no one expected UMass to beat SLU. Repeat that tomorrow and we'll have something.
Fan boards at SLU and URI are both crying for firing their coaches, although they're not nearly as overwhelming as the feeling here to fire McCall (with good reason).

No. We play URI again and we need them to shoot like that against us.

Watching Richmond and St Bona. Late Richmond is gonna win. But Schmidt was amazing last 2 min. Great coach. Calling tos right after a bona basket. Total chess game. Wish we had that game management
Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
Both coaches played it smart at the end. When Richmond got up with ~1 minute left, Coach Mooney got his team to give fouls and drain the clock just right. I agree Schmidt was amazing, but Bona must be freaking out being the consensus pre-season #1, only to find themselves tied with GW for 7th place.bunkerhill87 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 7:54 pm Watching Richmond and St Bona. Current bracket projections show that Davidson is the only A10 date to the dance.
