Latest on who is being interviewed - supposedly Barbee has been, assortment of others in the loop - No mention of Tom Moore. I wonder if the push/endorsement of the UCONN establishment for Moore means he is not getting the consideration? Anyway, Chimelis says target date is b4 Final Four. I think th...

I agree on Lavin and Lappas - 2 peas in a pod as game coaches. Here is a philosophical question, with a premise. If most of us would agree a critical Lap fault was poor in game decisions (such as weird timing of TO's and lack of in game coaching/adjustments), how do we know that folks whose careers ...

'Fan is like 'EEI - they push for local guys they know. Sounds like even the 'Fan guys get it about DOherty - is all about UVA, or another ACC/BE job.
I agree, Lappas went out with class. Herald version of conference is here:

Mark Blowhard says Lavin under consideration by UM, with some quotes from Lavin: http://www.boston.com/sports/colleges/mens_basketball/articles/2005/03/16/umass_may_have_an_eye_on_lavin/ Here's my question - why are the Boston media so focused on the retread/analyst squad - is this laziness, repayin...

I think he would be a BIG mistake - he would be looking for this job to be a stepping stone to ACC, BE, Pac10 or Big 10. If he dropped UND like a hot potato after one year - why do we think he would do ANYTHING different at UM if one of those conferences has a position? Let's be real here. Most can...

It is a little surprising Alumni Association is not involved, but that is a minor thing. I am glad 2 professors (esp. Professor Wong) are on the committee, as it is so important for UM to have students enter and graduate, based on the new NCAA standards. My bet is Lombardi will have a heavy hand her...
