Tom Timmermann ‏@tomtimm 57m Jordair Jett not practicing today at SLU (knee contusion). Doing drills on the side. Getting treatment with goal of playing Sunday Do we want to beat them fairly? Or take the W any way possible? Just win baby. It fair to beat a team that has injury problems. Part of the...

That team went 23-4 and 10-0 in the Yankee Conference and didn't receive an NCAA tournament bid. Doesn't seem right to me. The world of college basketball was a lot smaller then. Only 25 teams made the tournament, not 68. #2 USC didn't get in that year either. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasket...

The only thing I like about that proposed bracket is Wichita State as the 1 seed. I will be shocked if they make it past the Sweet 16. Just curious. Why would be shocked if the undefeated 30-0, #2 team in country, that was in the final four last year make it past the Sweet 16? they may not but I do...

Anyone at the game tonight notice the two or so URI knucklehead whipper snapper fans behind the UI bench. One was wearing a Mets hat and sun glasses the whole game. Every URI play he'd jump up and staring looking around just waiting for someone to engage him. Finally a few Umass did and confronted ...

Just an observation from being at the game yesterday, but I would say many of the season ticket holders might be more of the "I want to relax and watch the game" crowd than the "I am so pumped for this game. I can't wait to go crazy" crowd. You may be right Njumass. But we could...

The overwhelming desire for UMass to succeed easily overcomes any dislike for another team, for me. I'm a UConn hater, much more than a BC hater. Pulling for UConn to win a game seems impossible to me, in and of itself. But if they're on our schedule, I can do it, and it's not even hard. I'm on the...

^ I get the joke but I'm never a fan of this school of thought when it comes to fandom. I am always of the belief that a true fan always loves their team more than they hate their rival. So you root for whatever outcomes help your team, until the post-season when you obviously root against your riv...

One of the things that drives me nuts about the general public crowd is their refusal to stand. It particularly upsets me after a big play or in the midst of a run that the general public does not stand. Particularly on defensive possessions that could swing momentum in the game. With the players s...

With all this talk about three point shooting, for me a big part of the conversation is about learning what a good three pointer is and what a bad three pointer is. The same could be said for all shots, but especially three pointers. Fool's gold as Cal used to like calling it. A good three pointer ...

Rick Pitino can be a prickly SOB and he can charm the birds out of the trees. There was a time when disliking Rick was easy (I was in the group that didn't like him..., and both he and I were students at UMass at the time, on the other hand, he never has known who the hell I was   ). Look...

Nale, this is such a stupid thing to argue about. I have numerous arguments to make about this, but it's not worth the inordinate amount of time it would take me to write it out using my cell phone. You have no arguements that can change the fact that watching a player live gives you more informati...
