Wiggum I will give you all the Kudos that you throw to Bruiser - Given the recent headlines they still could have gone to the NIT and fired Bru.

See Nebraska Football, NJ Nets Basketball for reference.

How much time is supposed to be given to someone? Brusier had 5 (long) years. Along with that were many dissapointments and a continued downward trend in attendance and performance on the floor. There was no reason to believe that the trend would reverse - he lost his best scorer and did not give ...

Wiggum If you don't "unpucker" for a few minutes the only way you will ever be able to eat again is through a straw - Godbless milkskakes, Eh Wiggy!

Lets sum it up.

The decision to fire Bruiser was a good decision.
The decision on who to replace him with was a bad decision.

I think that is is most appropriate that these last few go arounds on this subject just happen to occur on a Monday Morning for all of us "QB's" out there.

Wiggum you can guess and speculate all you want - the fact is that Lappas is here and he is failing. Who knows what would have happened if he ...

Re: One More Year

[quote="JOHN MELIDONES"]

What did you guys think, Umass was going to be #1 in the country.

How about 101 - even 201 would be nice at this point. Are you smoking crack???

This team is not even playing competitively right now. I'll bet by that by year-end Vegas doesn't even put a number on ...

I had put this question out there on another thread and I am curious about what you all think.

Would putting a former player from the glory days be a smart move? I realize that it would get people talking and put asses in the seats, but would it not also create expectations and comparisons to ...

Umass - Not too many points (possibly a season low)
St Joes - Waaaay too many points (possibly a season high)

That makes St. Joe's (roughly) a 54 point winner.

With all due respect to Tony Barbee, has the program sunk to such low depths that the administration would hire someone with no head coaching experience? [/b]

You mean like they did when they replaced Coach Cal?????

AND C'mon Wiggum... do you think that an "extensive search" would not have ...

NALE QUOTE...

You post a poll like this and then you claim you are NOT
trying to take any shots at the players. Please, we are not that stupid.
Of course you are insulting the players and you knew it when you posted it.

Your explaination is another try at insulting the players and program
while ...

I like many of the ideas being thrown around here, but I have only one major concer/problem and that is the continual mention of former Umass Players as potential coaches.

Don't get me wrong many of them are probably qualified at some level, but it is part of a constant underlying theme of a ...

I am sorry for any misunderstanding - I am not trying to take any shots at the players.

The fact of the matter is that players not giving 100% IS a result of the coach not geting it done and the players (obviously or not so obvoiusly) undermining him by helping to make him look bad.

E-motion-less offense

This is f-ing ridiculous. If these kids are the "athletes" they are supposed to be, the Motion offense should lay right into those skills. It is ll about movement without the ball and setting good picks.

This is like watching three Babul's playing offense at the same time (and without any ...
