Too bad, a promising December, up and down in January, February started to fade...... Lap proves himself to NOT be a game coach throughout. Decent forward nucleus, but lots of work to do for the new guy.

NIT - not a prayer.

Nice story on a lot of fronts - his play, his ability to adapt, his seriousness as a student - what a great role model for kids, standing out so much more than another dumb top 10 dunk on SC.

Perhaps we are the new choice for international players and Francophones, hello Mozambique?

Formal University songs are shared as well - UNC and Cornell share alma maters, same music, different words. And, the Cornell drinking song "Davey" was co-opted to become "Give my Regards to Broadway" in the 1920's. I guess the Big Red had lousy intellectual property attorneys ba...

I think they play better without AA generally, but agree it is too bad he is unable to dress and play. As for LaSalle, it will be close - but we win 67-62.

It doesn't matter because it's been consistent over Lappas' tenure at UMass. The team played worse at the end of the season. Records by month for UMass under Lappas: November 7-4 (.636) December 14-14 (.500) January 13-22 (.371) February 14-15 (.483) March 3-9 (.250) (including the forfeit by the B...

FWIIW - Today's Mark Blowhard piece had 2 tidbits worth noting: - A10 probably only has one at-large entry (GW) - so probably max 2 - no surprise there. - He put in a plug for BRU as next Temple coach!!!!!!! http://www.boston.com/sports/colleges/mens_basketball/articles/2005/03/04/getting_a_jump_on_...

Ball handling guards should be available coming out of Juco - we should be fine. Anyone can see we need help there. Phil - Viggs is not a superior ball handler - 3/Wing is his best position, a little too short for the 4. He hustles and can crash the boards. I for one like our capabilities in the box...

Good job having the counter-facts at your finger tips!!!!! Francesca is a blow hard. Of course Lap is calling in all his chips - he is fighting for his job, right? I think staying focused on the record - W/L and Attendance wise - will sink him. The losing record in a weakening A10 says a LOT, and pe...

I cannot blame Lap for the AA back issue - backs are fundmentally hard to diagnose and harder to treat. I am sure AA wanted to play as much as possible as a last semester player and WTF - lots of players have hidden pain and injuries to keep playing. Lap is really goofy and perhaps not competent, bu...

Boy, we are young, short armed and now we are short of BREATH? Next excuse please Lap - we are going into the Lame Hall of Fame. If we are out of shape after practices since October- that is on the coach.
