When I first read the article I thought...now there's something you don't see everyday...a positive article about a UMass player from Ron Chimelis!!  All kidding aside...you can build a team around a guy like Viggs! At the Season Ticket Holder Appreciation breakfast this past Sunday m...

. Complimentary coffee and prozac will be available to those in attendance. Maybe we'll get more than 4,000 in attendance? The complimentary breakfast at the Season Ticket Appreciation breakfast didn't help attendance this past Sunday...only about 50 people showed up. Maybe the free Prozac wll do t...

Mass Grad, I'm only thinking about as a one shot deal in a proposed rotation situation. In that that context I think the numbers could work. Again I say that with some major "ifs"...IF UMass has a team that could win it all...IF the year that Springfield hosts, the newly re-furbished CC is...

I don't think you can compare the turnout for a UMass-Lafayette game to what could be expected for a spot in an A-10 tournament rotation. If it's promoted properly, if it coincides with the completion of the renovation of the SCC and , most importantly, if UMass has a strong team the year that Sprin...

Great idea! The A-10 could also have its awards banquet and other league ceremonies at the Hall of Fame.

Interesting quote from Lappas in Dewey's article. "We certainly want to get back to when they had the slogan 'anybody, anytime.' But if I look at (John Calipari's) first three years, there were some games that were opportunities for his kids to grow and make mistakes." That's exactly what ...

Funny that you guys posted this, because I was thinking about that tackle, too. I remember being at the game. What I don't remember is which game was it and did happen at the Cage or at the Bill :?: :?:

Nale - Check the name of the thread! Several people have posted their thoughts on ticket renewal based on the the OOC schedule. To me that's at least partially about supporting the program. The athletic department has been doing more to market UMass sports this year then it ever has, IMHO. Coach Lap...

This is less about the home schedule then it is about supporting the program. While the schedule is certainly not at the level of the OOC schedules of the 90's, the team isn't at that level either. A quick look at the Scoeboard section of the board and you can see the OOC schedule that UMass played ...

If I remember correctly, they are way off on the KSU- Cal score.
I guess I should correct my post by saying the Globe continues to ignore UMass.

I stand corrected on the Thomas article as I only looked on the front page of the web site, and the Gazette did have an article as I indicated they might. As for the McCaw article, I discounted it as it was not focused on the University Football team and their participation on the national stage. N...

...not one outlet has had a article about the saturday game, yesterday or today. Not the Globe, not the Union News/Republican, and not the Gazette (although their daily page is not posted until after 11AM so there still may be one today).... ...Jeff Thomas, who does football, writes today about the...
