I saw a few calls against us that I disagreed with in the RI game, but I also thought a few went our way so I give this game an OK for being even handed. Can't say that about LaSalle, Duquesne or Temple.

I feel like Bergantino's PR guy, but here's a recent article on him from the Tampa Bay Times. Seems like a real down to earth kid. I hope he can play at the A10 level.

^ Agreed. If Put has been a little more consistent he would have been a good candidate for most improved. If he can average 15 a game next year he might win it.

In a way, it's really good to see complaints about having to wait in line to get tickets. I think the crowd helped us get the wins over St. Louis and RI, especially the student section which was packed for both games.

After watching him rebound yesterday I would love to have him. However, I think we're getting a bit carried away thinking we can get all of these URI potential defectors.

^ We need them to win, otherwise their conference gets 2 NCAA bids and someone else drops down to the NIT, which will have an impact on our chances.

^ Thorr just got a 2 year extension so he is probably safe. He is most likely the one who fired Baron. The AD usually makes those decisions, with approval of higher ups. That works for me. Since Freeman hasn't commited (see Trey Davis) he wouldn't have to sit out a year.

I hope the players are thinking only about Duquesne. I'm afraid to let myself get any farther than that. Too many years of A10 tourney disapointments.

I'm sure DK learned from the first game what to do and not to do against a small, quick team. We can't press them full court and let them get easy baskets. Pick them up at half court and make them work hard for each point. Offensively, we ought to be able to work the ball inside more and we CANNOT l...
