Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell

Really? Did you record that interview you had with him where he revealed his exact thoughts to you; or was it just a personal phone call conversation where he only told you in private exactly how he felt? You emphasized exact so I assume he must have told you personally? We didn't know you still ha...

Re: KAEO: Tre Mitchell

Maybe he just thought playing for a coach like Chris Beard and against/with better players was the best thing for him and maybe the situation here wasn’t as ideal for him as you think it was. It happens. That is exactly what he (Tre) thought. I'm not sure the new situation is going to end up being ...

Re: Game 2, 2021-22: at Yale (11/12)

Jay interviews Matt this morning: https://umassathletics.com/sports/2018/1/4/plant-the-flag-inside-umass-athletics-podcast.aspx Sounds like a maybe to see CJ play tomorrow, but far from certain. Steady is out for a bit. Sounds like a hard no for tomorrow. A little Yale scouting report mixed in ther...

Re: New UMass Football Coach 2021

I also have a feeling that this is a tryout for Miller. He's the same age as Bell (37) and really would be a great fit for the program. He loves UMass(this does matter); has the DMV (DC/MD/VA) connections; coached at Oregon under Chip Kelly; salary wouldn't be an issue. He sounded like a future hea...

Re: Realignment: Texas/OK->SEC; UCF, BYU, Ciny,Houston->BigXII-dominos

Exactly! All Bell had to do was beat URI--which most UMass coaches in the FCS years didn't have problems doing--and he got DOMINATED. If Molnar hadn't had the players boxing in the snow (see YouTube) he would have lasted one more year. OMG I completely forgot about that..    :l...

Re: New UMass Football Coach 2021

Eldon you obviously did not watch the Brown link. I am not suggesting he or anyone of his caliber or experience level would want or even consider the job at UMass. It is the approach that he takes in finding and utilizing players that I am trying to present as the point. I think it would be extreme...

Re: New UMass Football Coach 2021

I love this thread - no really I do. It sums up Umass in one neat package. How do any of you know who will actually want this job? Seriously.... Don Brown ain't coming [back] here any more than Calapari is. "No P5 OC's, no retreads, no no no..." UMass is in no position to make any demands ...

Probably a single 20' x 20' canopy should cover all those attending this one. Bet you One Thousand dollars their will be more football fans, as always attending the game in bad weather, than a climate controlled Mullins Center basketball game against UMBC Tuesday nigt. I may have thought about that...

Re: 2021-2022 Season

The fan engagement talking point sucks overall because it matters so little... no one brings it up if the team is winning and it's a "pile on" point if the team is losing. Believe me, I want someone that is completely engaged with the fans, but I also get that we're humans and all wired a...

That pretty much sums up his Umass (coaching career)
