This year's team to be more physical...?

Nice (if brief) article on Bailey and the more physical nature of this year's squad: http://www.masslive.com/sports/index.ss ... _up_b.html

Agreed completely. Chris Anderson is special talent. Saying Tony is a better Birdman is ridiculous. Tony will not get drafted. Everyone need to realize this now. He is a great hustle player who can get up and block shots, but his mid-range game and finishing ability are not where they need to be ...

Stephane Lasme>Birdman

Seriously if Birdman can find a place in the NBA, you can't convince me that Stephane couldn't help someone...Is Anderson really better than Lasme? or Anderson Varejao? or Scalabrine? or Luke Walton?

If Cal goes to Kentucky...leaving behind some unhappy players in Memphis, does that open the door for DK to bring a few more Tiger transfers up to Amherst...? He knows all those guys...

I'm just sayin'...... 8)

Best of everything to Matt - I'm sure he will have great success wherever he lands.

[...just wondering if knowing what's coming next year (w/transfers & new players) he felt his playing time would be too limited....?]

BTW - Matt - Best. Pick. Ever. :D

Unfortunately I can't make it out tonight - but want to wish all the best to this year's seniors. Each one made his own unique contribution to the program. I wish them great success - wherever their path in life takes them.

Congrats guys - you were all excellent representatives for the University ...

I did watch the game...

No one doubts Bonner's passion ... He runs the court a lot w/ hustle, but we need a leader that plays more than 17 mins per game.

At this time of year, players shouldnt need motivation to win...

...I could be wrong, but I doubt it's his decision how much playing time he ...

I'll no doubt get hammered for this, but I give the guys some credit (starting w/Bonner & ending w/DK) for gutting it out. The underclassman need leadership and Bonner helped provide some. Down 26 points away, it would have been easy to "get on the bus home" and fade into the woodwork. Instead, they ...

He played a very good game most of the night but when it came to cruch time nothing. A great PG has to finish the game.

NOTE: I am not saying Lowe lost the game for UMASS only that his play this year in cruch time doesn't qualify him and Harris is one of top three best backcourts in UMASS ...
