Re: Game 18, 2019-20: George Washington (1/18)

They should be offering reduced price tickets to this game. What good is a 9600 seat stadium with 1500 people in it?

Re: FIRE WALT BELL!

UMass is currently dead last at FBS in opponents points per game at 52.7. 2nd place is New Mexico St at 40.3. NMSU would need to surrender 189 points in their season finale vs Liberty to surpass UMass. Incredible! All Walt Bell can do is be thankful that BYU took mercy on them after dropping 6 TDs ...

Re: KAEO: Derrick Gordon

As a fan, my favorite DG moment will always be his play flying over the scorers table in his first home game vs. LSU last year. Consistency and focus were not always his strength, but I loved his effort and willingness to mix it up and make plays. We have a ton of guards in the program so it could ...

I think we could have a very good team next year.

For those that think Chaz is not a very big loss: Whenever teams played us with Chaz they had a difficult assignment. They had to guard a player who plays at a faster speed, and is better at breaking down defenses (getting past the initial defender ...

Cady is going to be one of the best rebounders in the college game this year. That said, BC's attempt to keep him off the glass was atrocious. He had 8 offensive boards, a bunch of which were off missed free throws! A lot of rebounding is size, strength and positioning but you can't underestimate ...

If you all were curious what a early November college basketball game looks like between two good teams competing for 40 minutes that was it. Sloppy, of course, missed opportunities of course, but the heart they showed down the stretch to win it was fantastic and we open the season with a win vs ...

Props to Northampton High School graduate Brennan Cooper for his play for AIC. In 15 minutes he did not attempt a shot, but had 5 assists to no turnovers and had 3 huge offensive boards in the last 5 minutes of the game to keep AIC in contention until the last minute.

Of course the fact that a 6'2 ...

The elite 8 is nice but the final 4 is the holy grail of college hoops, no way around it. In the last 16 years, the A-10 has not put a single team to that point, UMass in '96 was the last.

All of a sudden add into the fold 2 teams who have a combined 3 final 4s in the last 3 years. Serious uprgade ...

A lot of pessimism on the board. I know UMass flamed out last year, but after seeing them live in every game except NJIT, there is no doubt in my mind we are significantly better than we were last year. I don't even need to look at the results to see that, just watching us play, we now have a true ...

Excited for the game tomorrow night. This team has the potential to be a very, very good defensive team. With Chaz running the show this year our offense could be pretty solid, especially if Putney and Morgan step up. Morgan was awful against Elon but I still have hopes for him to contribute. It is ...

What-ifs are pointless, player development varies school to school. But if Joey Rodriguez, playing at the level he plays for VCU, had been our point guard this year, I 100% say we're a tourney team this year. Point guard has been the position thats killed us the last decade plus.

Edit: Although I ...

Even worse you don't acknowlege the adversity the team has faced this year...that's just ignorant.

Injuries to Farrell and TV...and now Freddie. GC's illness; the DT fiasco. There's five factors the team has had to deal with and overcome.

Because most NCAA teams don't have injuires or player ...

I love the defensive intensity this team is capable of. All of our best defenders return next year (we lose GC but I think Farrell is even better on the perimeter), which should be a scary thought for other A-10 teams, as we could have one of the best defenses in the league.

Obviously, the problem ...

C'mon guys, show some composure. Ellis is a little flopping pansy and I'm glad he's having such a terrible season after being pegged all-conference pre-season, but show some maturity in a losing effort!

Hope we draw SLU in AC.
