Re: Lightning in a Bottle documentary

Old Cage actually recorded the radio broadcast of the West Virginia comeback game by George Miller and Jack Leaman, Jan. 27, 1995. George says it's fine with him to share it, so here you go. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kfRwz4QB3HuQLtVbhZ2M01MfE0h8N48j/view?usp=sharing I know there's a video too...

Yep. Hoping we stay focused on tonight.

Re: First reaction: UMass to the MAC

All other analysis aside, PLEASE stop with the “Gonzaga of the MAC” nonsense. Gonzaga (and many other high caliber hoops programs) do not play FBS football. They have found ways to make it work. We have failed. Thank you! There's only one team playing football in the whole WCC - San Diego - and tha...

Re: OFFICIAL UMass references in Television, Film, etc. thread

Not sure how OFFICIAL this is, as unfortunately the article doesn't mention UMass. However, I'm pulling for the field in the Super Bowl - hopefully it stays in great shape. The guy in charges is a graduate of the UMass/Stockbridge Turf Management program, Nick Pappas. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/...

Do we have a lock-down defensive guy? Would've helped to have one to use on Mack.

Good interview! I can't believe you have a 14 yr. old!

The little I've seen of Harvard this year says this will be a tougher game than we've had so far. We'll definitely see a tougher D.

Re: Coach Search 2022

You are aware that RP did not attend the Memorial Service at the Cage for Coach Leaman. He was doing a coaching clinic. Julius Erving was there, Ray Wilson was there , Al Skinner was there and many other former players Calipari and his staff were there. Joanie O’Brien came from Auburn to attend. RP...

Re: Coach Search 2022

Great Twitter thread from @martydobrow. I think this Coach Search thread is a good place for it. ...and now here we are, a coaching vacancy at UMass, and the tournament about to rev up, and Pitino the upstart, and Cal the top dog, and 30 years since the aging, diminutive Lenny (not "ie" --...

Re: 2021-2022 Schedule

- Harvard owes us a home game ... As for BC or UConn, a change in coach might lead BC to fresh thinking, but I think Hurley might stab himself in the eye before he puts UM on the schedule. I like the idea of an expanded Commonwealth Cup. Maybe a kind of Beanpot, with UMass, BC, Harvard and Northeas...

Re: Is MM a winner?

I'm amazed! Most people here are more optimistic than I am. I haven't been here for ... a long time, probably most of McCall's tenure. My overall impression from that distance has been that McCall is not the guy, and Tre's departure clinched it. Then, on a whim, I come here to check out what the cog...

Didn't use a zone, but in the post-game said he thought about it. But the way GS was shooting it wouldn't matter. One question regarding our long-term prospects this year may have been answered: What happens when Pipkins has an off night? He had back spasms this week, and played through it, but shot...

According to Matt V. in the Gazette this am, Baldwin can play.

“I don’t think he’ll have a ton of restrictions other than how many whacks he can take with a mask on,” Kellogg said.
