Re: Attendance figures

There should be at least one game in Springfield. Maybe even Worcester. No one outside of Amherst even knows there is still a team playing in Amherst. (Obvious hyperbole). Seriously, the cage is not the answer. The answer should include a way to get fans to the Mullins center during winter session....

Re: Game ##, 2021-22: at Fordham (2/28)

Just saw that Fordham is still not allowing fans and will re evaluate the situation on January 31. So it looks like no fans at our game on the 28th. Too bad. I love pre game, half time and post game beers at Dagger Johns downstairs. our game is not until february so maybe 500 people will show up. W...

Re: Attendance figures

Every wintersession home game should be at the Cage. Throw in one November/December game as well when the students are still on campus. Figure it out with the Mullins. There should be at least one game in Springfield. Maybe even Worcester. No one outside of Amherst even knows there is still a team ...

Re: Game 17, 2021-22: Saint Louis (1/20)

In DK’s last year he had a freshman manager who was doing some good research in analytics…similar to the stuff that NBA teams were using to try and gain an advantage over their opponents. It took awhile but DK and the staff were interested in having him do some work for them(at no cost) for the fol...

Re: UConn back to the Big East

not sure umass isn't living in the glass house, UMA was a department in FY20 that had over 75% of its revenues from state and university funds and student fees. It is all about skinning the cat and how you communicate it.

Re: Game 17, 2021-22: Saint Louis (1/20)

off-season here is my question, why was his contract extended after that first year? Also any update on what the young man who built those models is doing? If he is looking for work, he can come work for me...

Re: Replacements for McCall

His name is Zach Spiker - came from HC at West Point Looking over their roster, I sure could get Jazzed up about his recruiting! What about his recruiting excites you? Looks to be mostly homegrown guys with a couple of transfers? Think after this current coach as long as there is a plan it will be ...

Re: Replacements for McCall

I agree that Bruiser is not coming back, and probably will not be on Bamford's short list. It was just a question posed by someone on here (Preecher?) and Niles reacted so vociferously, that I thought it would be fun to discuss. Certainly more interesting to me than talking about Cal, who's at the ...

Fuck no.

Bruiser didn't get a fair shake here the last time around, but he's not the answer.
What passion Niles, what passion. Why isn't Bru the answer? Who is on your list this time?

Re: Replacements for McCall

I've witnessed 2 almost total rebuilds at Colorado State in the 17 years I've lived in Fort Collins. In both cases, the first year was pretty dismal just trying to get by being out-classed by pretty much every team in the league. The second year was fun though, both years there were a lot of new an...

Why would he want to? Probably makes more money now
No idea if bru wants to come back. My guess is he wants to be a head coach again and not with cal forever.

Re: Replacements for McCall

^ The phrasing in your post made me wonder if you thought the names had been linked to the UMass position in any meaningful way. Once again I am lost at what you are saying... We should have big dreams on the coach, BUTTTTTTT realistically it is going to look more like a D.Killings' experience leve...

These are just names people are throwing out, we don't know what Bamford is planning, or if he's even going to fire McCall.
Really?!? I thought umasshoops.com made all the decisions for the team?

Seems like we are swinging for the fences (which we should)!

I am sure someone will bring the usual suspects with of John Becker, Coen, Al Skinner.

What about Keith Smart? NBA guy, spending this year in the college game, could have some cred.
