Re: Where Have You Seen UMass play?

Why would I be mad? More like envious...I would have liked to have been at the games described in Bags' post that I was unable to attend.

Probably just a typo, but his last name is E rving.

Erving of course!!
I forgot football.
Attended most of the home games at McGuirk.
Got to see Greg ...

Re: Where Have You Seen UMass play?

At BC-saw Julius Irving make a fabulous play grabbing a rebound and while in midair throwing it the length of the court to a streaking UM player.
Madison Sq Garden for the NIT’s against Jacksonville St (Artis Gilmore?), Believe they played in consecutive NITS or maybe a second round game as well ...

Another thrilling game. Even though we’ve lost a lot of these games, I have enjoyed watching them As a pure spectator it’s been a very entertaining season. As a fan I’m frustrated.

Re: 2025-26 Season

Looking ahead…playing undefeated in the MAC, Miami of Ohio on the 14th. Checking the box score from the earlier matchup, I’m expecting a much closer game. Clearly, Miami is the class of MAC basketball- both men’s and women’s.

Re: Game 21, 2025-26: at Buffalo (1/23)

I'm enjoying these close games in the MAC even if the ball didn't bounce our way for some of them. Thought it was gonna the first blowout for us. From what I saw on tv liked Alumni Arena.

All of the MAC arenas I’ve seen on TV are decent sized, and aren’t cookie cutter. I see highly angled ...

Re: 2025-26 Season

Wheels came off in the second half. Didn’t get much from the frontline. In foul trouble for most of the game. They miss the depth that she provides. Ferguson had a good game. McKayle will be first team MAC.

Re: Game 16, 2025-26: at Ohio (1/6)

Good, hard fought game. They got themselves into a hole early. I think that Frank is still feeling out the line up. Cleric is coming on, Placide is a good shooter, Carbuccia best game yet. Wimbley has shown some promise. He has options. If they can maintain their morale, better times are ahead. They ...

Re: Game 14, 2025-26: at Eastern Michigan (12/30)

The problem was the defense. Their center Habab would get the ball inside, either he would score, or would pass to a wide open cutter. We never adjusted.

Re: 2025-26 Season

Watched most of the game. They missed a bunch of inside shots. Some were contested, but others were very makeable. Credit to Youngstown State, they had a good game plan. So it goes.

I think it’s kind of cool that they “Fly the Flag”. In the A10 there was very little solidarity, and as a fan, I find it refreshing.

Very nice win. Great team effort. Chinenye Odenigbo played very well.Good defense, several steals and when they passed to her, she finished inside.

First time watching Field Hockey. It was very hard to follow. I googled the rules hoping to understand. Still shaking my head.

Re: Thorr Bjorn

Wonder what URI thinks of this? No hard feelings? They are a traditional and regional rival. After joining the MAC, I was hoping that we would continue to play them in BB.

Re: 2025-26 Season

Good win for the ladies. They let ODU back in to the game, but never really felt that the outcome was in doubt. The team seems to be deeper this year. Several of the transfers and frosh came in off the bench and contributed. They will compete for the MAC title.
