Re: KAEO Daniel Hankins-Sanford
This is phenomenal news. Let's go Daniel! By far my favorite player on the team this past season. They had a lot of problems, and him missing time and then struggling to adjust when he came back from his hand injury was one of them. When he's at full strength, he's a player.
Double-doubles in ...

Re: 2025 NCAA Tournament Game 2 - Western Michigan
I think Denver is happy not play us because we have had some success against them during their run of 6 frozen fours in 9years. It’s apparent that they like playing BC!InnervisionsUMASS wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 7:01 amWillHerndonFan wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 10:03 pm Hope W Michigan gets it ass handed to them by Denver!
I hope Denver loses by 900 goals.

Cause it was Suniev's 2nd penalty of the game.
I don’t believe that is true.
The official call was “Hitting from behind”. That also falls into the category for Game Misconduct, as well as “hitting the head” , “Intent to injure.” and others that don’t involve on the ice activity.
There ...

Re: KAEO Reggie (RJ) Luis
I dont think Luis is quick enough to play in NBA
Agree on that! Watching RJ at UMass we often forget that he did not wow you with his quickness or athleticism. He was 6’7” and could shoot over most guards and small forwards and get hot at times. He was a good player for us but certainly not ...

Re: KAEO Tafara Gapare
His talent might have resulted in positive results here, but he was always going to struggle at a higher level unless he really worked hard to improve. The results over the last 2 years shows he didn't put in the effort to overcome the lack of "basketball IQ," as the kids say these days.

Re: KAEO Reggie (RJ) Luis
RJ in the portal - hopefully he gets a huge bag of cash!
Edit - could be just a rumor - lots of people claiming its fake
I would say it’s official now,

He's also entering the NBA Draft.

Re: 2025 NCAA Tournament Game 2 - Western Michigan
W Michigan coach, who complained about not getting any penaltie before the 2nd period began, got the gift of all gifts. Where do I begin? First Umass dominated this team until the Call. The call in my mind is excessive as you Umass lost its 2nd best player and allowed the other team to hav3 five ...

Re: Julius Erving
Hard to believe how little people got to see him on TV in his ABA years. Jordan was spectacular but Erving was the most graceful athletic player ever to play and no one could control a ball with one hand like he could. I remember as a kid how excited I was to watch movie The Fish that Saved ...

Re: KAEO Reggie (RJ) Luis
Create the same financial structure as the NBA and you’ll have some stability but at a lower cost. Until this mess is resolved college hoops will continue to be a shit show where only highest bidders will win consistently (ie MLB). It’s embarrassing as a sport when one conference has almost a fourth ...

Re: KAEO Daniel Hankins-Sanford
The injury DHS had to his hand, and I think the spots he had to play, mostly center, made it tough for him to excel. He's a PF, but being paired with Rivera, he had to match up a lot with centers. I don't think it was coincidence when Rivera was out that DHS had some great games, they're both best ...

Re: KAEO Daniel Hankins-Sanford
Both Hankins and Curry will be gone and excel where ever they land. Hankins and Curry did not play to their full potential this year as both are better than what they showed. That being said, Let’s not fool ourselves like we did with Cohen and Cross as the all might dollar rules when decisions are ...

After watching RJ completely disappear against Arkansas and benched, let’s not get to emotional over losing RJ Luis. RJ is a good player but he was never really as good as the hype! Yes he won Big East Player of the Year but his legacy at St. John’s will be based on this loss. Hate to be a St ...

Re: Do we need a "General Manager?"
As I said in another thread that we need a GM for each major sport (Football, Basketball & Hockey) and a General GM (G2M) for all other sports. The GM should have final say over personnel decisions and financial arrangements while the Coach more control over utilization of personnel and other in ...
