Re: 2024-25 Season
WNIT usually does matchups regionally. Looking at the field, I think that would mean Siena, Bryant and Stonehill are the most likely to be matched up with us. UMass has a better NET ranking than all of them, so perhaps we host? We will find out today. Looking at the field, nobody really has a specta...

Re: 2024-25 Season
Well, just did some digging. The WBIT is actually NCAA backed, seems like that is the 2nd tournament with WNIT 3rd. No longer a WBI I guess. Didn't pay too much attention last year because there was no chance for a bid for UMass at any of them. Are we confident that the season is done? 68 team NCAAT...

Re: 2024-25 Season
Agree on this team being fun to watch.
There is a chance the A10 is a two-bid league this year. Likely if someone other than Richmond wins the tournament. Assuming it is not UMass, I think if UMass can win out and win at least one in Richmond, a WNIT bid is not out of the question.

Re: 2024-25 Season
I agree with some of the comments here, especially with not being able to put the pieces together all the time. Some of the games are easier to watch than others. I also remember just how much stability we had in the last couple of years with Tory on the roster and most of them had years of experien...

Re: Portal '24
^ I think that expectations should go beyond getting good players!! Getting them to play and develop here will lead to wins and I think that is what a coach actually is paid to do😁 Agree, but with the transfer rules, I think there needs to be some sort of realism here. I was just saying that it is ...

Re: Portal '24
First, congrats to Lilly Taulelei for going to the Big 12 with Iowa State. While that is a big loss for us, it does show that Mike can find some talent. Really hard to put together a team from the portal and no starters. I am not concerned too much about the exodus from last year besides Taulelei --...

Re: 2023-24 Season
This team is way better and has more potential than any Sharon Dawley team, even including the ones with Cierra Dillard

Re: 2023-24 Season
It has been easy to be down on this team this year. That said, Tory's first year was 9-21 overall, 3-13 in conference. That was with only 5 basketball players + Megan Burke from the soccer team. I do think there are ways to get more than 3 conference wins.

Re: 2023-24 Season
The team is still learning to play with each other, IMO. From what I have heard, there are some injuries that people should recover from before conference play. There may also be a potential academic eligibility issue and I know that someone on their 2nd transfer was denied a waiver. The team has po...

Re: 2023-24 Season
Women's Media day is tomorrow, October 26th.
Should be interesting to see where other coaches think we stack up against the conference. Also interested to see if Kulesza or anyone can get preseason honors.

Re: 2023-24 Season
Considering what they lost, I think your expectations are a bit high. I very much hope to be proven wrong. Just to clarify, I said what I thought a good season would be, not what I expect. Kulesza is a very solid player and I've liked what I have seen from Williams in terms of fewer turnovers. Lily...

Re: 2023-24 Season
Today, men's basketball preseason rankings announced. Am very interested to see tomorrow's release of the women's, usually it is one day later. I don't have much to go on honestly except some of the clips they have been showing. I think a good season for Leflar to start would be a .500 conference re...
