Re: Time for a new coach
What frustrates me the most is that I always like what Frank has to say about his goal of positively impacting young men both on and off the court and that this is what motivates him to continue coaching. But here's the thing which all of us know.....first, his actions belie his words. How can he ...

Re: Time for a new coach
Frank has million$ of reasons to not go anywhere. And that's fine. He cannot go anywhere until Ryan is gone first.
I really don't give a shit about the screaming and yelling. I just wish he'd do two things:
- Stop with the bench sulking
- High five/greet/coach his players as they come off the ...

Re: Game 30, 2025-26: at Bowling Green (2/28)
Think there needs to be a caution sign on TBjorn's hoop hires:
Danny Hurley, upper deck grand slam
David Cox, unmitigated failure
Archie Miller, dud
Old UMass friend Tim Kenney had alot to do with the Archie hire at URIne. I know we are tired of the yelling and sidelick schict, but does ...

Re: Game 28, 2025-26: Buffalo (2/21)
The sleeping giant did one of those big sleeping yawns on Tuesday as if it was going to awaken, but we lost, and apparently the sleeping giant went right back to sleep yesterday. Brutal.
I'm sure there were some students there, but it's crazy that they don't band together as a section, or that ...

Re: Game 28, 2025-26: Buffalo (2/21)
I’ve asked this question many times. Students do not actual tickets. They have a cap on how many can enter. It is near a third of the capacity. They do not release unsold tickets to the students.Floyd wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 4:00 pm Why would they limit students if the place is empty?
Do students even need tickets?

Re: Final Four run, 30th anniversary
Damn shame the students didn't come out. Awful.
I'm not sure why the other athletic teams, not in season, football etc. are not filling the student section. It was Greek night. They weren't given any special treatment to bet there or incentive to sit in the student section. At Miami, they ...

Re: Game 28, 2025-26: Buffalo (2/21)
Attendance was 5,092. Not bad considering the student sections that had 2,400 or so students in them on Tuesday, were virtually empty.
Overall attendance was over 2k fewer. Students don't like to sit in that section and when the place is about half full they choose where to sit. My guess is ...

Re: Final Four run, 30th anniversary
LS, thought I recognized Chris Kirkland, Shannon Crooks, and maybe Monty Mack? Not sure of the others.
I agree, it would have been nice to hear who they all were
Thought I saw Viggiano as well. Monty was definitely there. I sure hope the guys that came back are vocal about what they saw/didn't ...

Re: 2026 Season
I was registered but something came up and I couldn't make it into Boston. These are always nice events and I always suggest people go. At the very least, one can get to experience the UMass Club.
The Department emailed multiple times saying "there's still time to register"... so between that ...

Re: 2026 Season
How many PWO can teams take? Do they get NIL money? I didn’t expect to see as many walk on offers/signees as we have recently. I kind of thought with the 105 man roster walk ons would be phased out.

Re: Game 28, 2025-26: Buffalo (2/21)
Saturday is also Greek life night. They are reserving 500 seats for fraternity and sorority members. Back in the day, Cal and Thorr came by fraternities with tickets. (Not together, that I remember).

Re: 2025-26 Season
They must have known the matchups in preparation for this game. Wonder if they addressed these things.
Anyone see anybody on the staff have a conversation with Luka after he came off the floor or was it just the verbal assault?
Everyone had discussions after their tongue lashings. Some longer ...

Re: Game 28, 2025-26: Buffalo (2/21)
^ Yup, they hardly ever sit there when there are better open seats available at every other game. The "student section" is generally always empty, but it's hardly ever an indicator of how many students are actually there. I heard somewhere, I forget where, that student attendance for Miami was 10x ...

Re: 2025-26 Season
^ After Frank's comments about Luka's play in the Miami game, he may never be heard from again. Frank really reamed him out for his defense. I've seldom seen a coach throw a player under the bus like that.
After Isaiah Placide tied the game at 68 with a three, Martin recited the next three ...
