Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
will make 7 coaches new to the A10. So hard to figure how so many teams will do with such huge flux, both with coaches and players. And we don't even know how they'll schedule yet, as far as I know

Re: 2022 Recruiting
So unless a grad transfer comes in, every player will have eligibility left after the 2022-23 season, I think.

Re: 2022-23 Schedule
I like Springfield. Being in the middle of final exams, though, maybe not great. Probably tricky to schedule in second half of December for many opponents.

Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
^they'd be thrilled to be the only Big East school in Chicago, but that's not happening, and that differs a lot from Butler's situation/location. although the BE likely wants to add at least 1 team, so maybe.

Re: 2022 Recruiting
This roster already has more talent than any McCall put together that's setting the bar too low, given that Coach Martin was hired early in this year's cycle vs MM hired as a plan B "emergency". Coach Martin will also make like 5X more $$, I think. Bringing 2 quality bigs with him from SC...

Re: 2022-23 roster
So we are all in agreement that Noah, TJ, Cross and Leveque will be starters. Who will the 5th be? Diggins? G. Thompson? Or someone who hasn't been signed yet (N'Guessan). 5th could vary depending on the situation/opponent. Need someone to counter an extra big? more defense? or offense? need an ext...

Re: 2022 Recruiting
level of incoming talent to the A10 is remarkable, as Bona got Farell and URI got Josephat Bilau today. Much of the conference could be developing like UMass with highly regarded but unproven prospects signing up to play for proven winner coaches.

Donate by Paypal is at bottom of Homepage. Thanks Mike for hosting, and to Floyd for reminding us that there is no free lunch. slight edit: donate near the bottom of the Homepage. The very bottom will donate to DokuWiki (free and Open Source software); worthy I'm sure, but probably not what most of...

Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
Holmes is also going to Iowa State. Welch is still in the portal and if he finds a new home all they have left is Adaway. Everyone else is in the portal and a few have already found new teams. They are absolutely starting over. perhaps starting over even more than you think. Adaway declared he's go...

offer made to Tafara Gapare according to https://twitter.com/GapareTafara/status/1522770191842697216 could be 2022 or 2023, according to this Syracuse write-up https://www.si.com/college/syracuse/recruiting/syracuse-in-mix-intriguing-tafara-gapare 6'10" PF played this year at South Kent High Sc...

Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
I may have been off by an inch on URI's incoming center. The interesting thing in his announcement was "looking forward to being there for the next 4 years". That's why I wondered if Archie wants to build for longer term with young recruits. Contrast to UMass last year with 4 players havin...

Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
Archie at URI may be looking to build long-term. He only got 3 incoming so far, 2 freshman and Freeman transferring in from GW. One of the frosh is a 7 footer with a 7'3" wingspan who's supposed to be a great rim protector. They have half a dozen guards, and a couple are big enough to play forw...

Re: Around the A-10 (2021-22)
I've been wondering about scheduling with 15 teams. One obvious solution to maintain rivalries and enable more fans to get to away games, would be 3 geographic divisions. 2 schools in Philly and UMass-URI would be a logical North division, with Fordham in between those 4 schools. A South with the 2 ...
