Re: Two Questions Every Candidate for the Chancellor’s Job Should Answer (yes, this post belongs in the football section
I have often said, the issues that plague UMass football are more deeply rooted than I think any of us realize. A decade + of losing and decisions made from leadership from the top have taken a toll on a once proud program, rendering it to "lovable losers" status. I don't say this with any...

Re: 2022 Season
Watched DB's post game press conference and has me worried already for next season. I wish he was more of a Carvel/Martin and had some fire that he used to have! This program doesn't need a kindly grandfather right now... When they hired DB I wasn't happy about trying to re-live 1996. I think he wa...

Re: Game Five: EMU
I'm impressed with UMass in this game, one that I did not foresee to go this way. Need to regroup, make smart adjustments and stop taking dumb penalties. We could be up by a few more if we cleaned up our act a little bit. Impressed with Gino. I think we have our guy.
Go U!

Re: Curry Hicks Cage
I found this the other evening and thought I would share with this crowd. Very interesting concept for the Cage renovations.

Re: Coach Frank Martin
Man, this is a GREAT day for UMass. As seen on Twitter, you have to think this could be the beginning of a "Golden Age" for UMass athletics. Can't believe I'm even typing these words after all those years. GO UMASS!

Re: Coach Search 2022
According to Jeff Goodman @GoodmanHoops "URI will hire former Indiana coach Archie Miller, source told @stadium . Miller had success in the A-10 with Dayton, taking the Flyers to 4 NCAA tourneys — including an Elite Eight in 2014." I really hope Bamford has a great coach in mind and that a...

Fixing the stands would probably help too.

Re: Replacements for McCall
Not sure he's the guy, but if I was ready for a new challenge and could double my income, I could do a lot worse than moving to W. Mass from N. Vermont. It's been said before, but jumping from coach to coach every few years, with more often than not, mediocre results, might reveal more fundamental ...

Re: Liam
That would be a tremendous career move for Liam. At the tender age of 36, Sean McVay has already sent assistants Zac Taylor, Matt LaFleur and Brandon Staley to NFL head coaching jobs, and they have all had early success. I don't think we can say the same about the Belichick coaching tree. The NFL a...

Re: Weekend Series vs. UCONN Feb 18-19
A really disappointing end to that game. Plenty of chances, had the advantage with SOG's but just couldn't get the shots in and took WAY to many penalties. Need to win Vermont series up next...

Re: New UMass Football Coach 2021
UMass becoming a destination for *successful* HS prep coaches is an approach I’m fairly certain we’ve never tried before. Fwiw, I love it. Talented high school coaches hungry for wins all together with veteran coaches in one room? Man to be a fly on the wall… Go U!

Re: 2021 Season
My guess is its about tailgating/return to full capacity McGuirk. There’s never been a formal announcement (to my knowledge) that fans would be back in full - just that we would have a season and fans based on state guidance. Others schools are making that announcement now and the fact that the soci...
