Re: State of the Progam

This post supposedly from Coach Brown’s wife was just loaded online…if true, this speaks volumes about the alumnae base not supporting nor caring about the FBS “strategic initiative”…good luck recruiting a quality coach with this NIL budget…

Re: First reaction: UMass to the MAC

You people do realize that conference games account for just over half the schedule and teams also compete with schools outside their conference, right?

I have no reason to believe UMass will just stop trying to compete at at-least the level it has been.

Another thing to consider...all the name ...

Re: First reaction: UMass to the MAC

I haven't posted on here in a long time, but the negativity regarding this move is insane to me.

Everyone is acting like this is a death sentence for UMass basketball without any bit of evidence. Is the MAC a worse basketball conference than today's A10? Undoubtedly. But my suspicion is that ...

Funny that the Boston Globe writes that depth will be a problem.

Re: Game 8: Eastern Michigan

If anyone would like an example of how a missed PAT can come back to bite you in the ass, I implore you to watch highlights of the BC vs. Clemson game. A crucial missed PAT was a HUGE reason why BC lost (not to mention two dropped, WIDE OPEN TD passes from two different receivers). Never thought I ...

Re: Game 5: Bowling Green

The students leaving has more to do with this regions culture than a generational thing. Not apples and oranges obviously but the student section in Wisconsin stayed full even as they were blowing out UMass. Trust me, there is no shortage of selfie taking there either. It's just a matter of school ...

Re: Game 5: Bowling Green

We have to have the worst fan base in the country. UMass should think about switching the student section to the other side. Place looks dead on TV when it was an actual sellout. Also why leave?! Game was a back and forth shootout, and UMass had the ball to win it at the end.

Though four hours is a ...

It's on a few regional Fox Sports networks from the south. It's on DirectTV if you have the full sports package I believe. Channels 649,654,655,661 is what I think I remember seeing. I don't have DirectTV so I don't know how it all works but those are the channels i saw when i was looking into it.

I don't think we'll be featured all that much. I think the reaction to DG strongly indicates that we're picking up speed toward "non-issue" status. DG and the other guys before him are getting us closer to the point where it's no longer news. Their revelations have opened themselves up to ...

Pretty impressive that out of the 108 post on this subject, only one was not supportive. Says a lot about the fanbase.

I'm sure there were plenty of examples of UMass fans making anti-Mormon marks on twitter too. Countless Bruins fans made racists twitter posts bout Joel Ward. I've seen UMass fans make homophobic tweets about DG today.

A couple twitter idiots doesn't mean anything.

I don't think it will be that bad. There are bigots everywhere, but it's not like LSU is full of toothless rednecks. College kids as a whole are pretty accepting of this stuff.

I agree that it was the right call 100%, and it's a good sign that the AD is committed to basketball. But I thought it was a good thing for the time being and worried about what may come next.

Obviously things have a chance to get better, but they also have a good chance to get worse, which is why ...
