Re: AAC Headquarters moving to Dallas
I think that some are missing the point of being in a conference for football.....money. There is more money to be had by being in a football conference than being an independent. It also provides some stability if you go through a few down years. Teams like Texas could make it as an independent ...

AAC Headquarters moving to Dallas
With the AAC moving its headquarters to Dallas (from Providence) in two years, would UMass make the list of football teams that they would like to add to their conference?
I know that the AAC probably seemed like the most natural move for the football team to go into a conference, but the ...

I wonder if the plan is to compete for a MAC title/possible bowl game in 2015, hoping that helps secure a future league invite, then you punt/rebuild in 2016 and be battle tested for 2017 and compete for a bowl ...

Re: future scheduling talk
we only have Oct 22 and Nov 12 as open dates right now. South Carolina already has a late non-conference (rivalry) game vs. Clemson in Nov. would the SEC schedule allow them to play on one of those dates? Any chance we could play on Aug 25th as a season kick-off game?

Re: future scheduling talk

sorry Chris20 I have to completely disagree with you on this one. Winning doesn't change everything. A team can pop up an win for one season and that doesn't ...

Re: KAEO: Derrick Gordon
thanks for the kind words preecher....
probably too early to speculate but i've heard Pitt come up as a possible landing place. Not sure that I believe it, I think someone is just making a connection to an ACC school that has a former UMass assistant that coached DG (Marlon Williamson).

what about killing two birds with one stone and going after a school like Marshall, get them to join the MAC for football and the A-10 for all other sports?
