Has anyone heard what's up with Placide? He hasn't been dressed the last two games. It's a shame, he looked good in his last game against Oregon St.bobolink wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 10:15 am ...Placide might do nicely, although he needs to be healthy..

Re: Game 9, 2025-26: Lowell (12/6)
I'm trying not to be disappointed with Wimbley since he's a freshman and has only played a handful of games. He just doesn't look ready. I thought he was more polished coming in. That's ok though. He's learning, and the difference yesterday was that instead of only making freshman mistakes, he also ...

Re: How former UMass players have fared after entering the portal
Picking Curry over Keon was the wrong move, if that's what happened. Curry was flashier and a high-major talent, but Keon was a perfect fit for Frank Martin's style. Fit is more important than talent many times, and I think Keon was one of those guys.

^ In addition, this is probably the game on the schedule that will get the most attention from casuals. Win this and you might start to get build buzz around the fanbase and get some bigger crowds at Mullins.

Re: How former UMass players have fared after entering the portal
That said, i believe Frank’s personality runs off a lot of quality players.
I find it hard to believe that Southern, UAB, NC A&T, Old Dominion and Stephen F. Austin all have the NIL resources to lure good players away from UMass. Oklahoma State is another story. That 10 man roster should win the ...

Re: How former UMass players have fared after entering the portal
All due respect to the guys that have left, and I appreciate their contributions, but I'm just fine with no longer having Abdelgowad, Rivera, and Robert Davis. Malek wasn't a good fit, Rivera is too poor a shooter and decision-maker to make up for his heart and hustle, and Davis is a volume scorer ...

Another no-confidence in Reyes vote from UMass employees. I believe this happened last year as well. Add in his interest in other jobs early in his tenure and this guy's got to go, hopefully taking Bamford with him.

^ Totally. I don't need or expect to go 25-3, I just posted that as a point of interest. I'm pretty sure the Nolan site has them losing the Army game.

Re: Women’s Bracketology
I posted something similar in the men's forum and decided to check out the women's side.
Warren Nolan and Bart Torvik's sites both predict the women to go 25-3, Nolan has them going 16-2 in conference and Torvik has them going 15-3 in conference. They're off to a great start, but that would be a ...

Re: 2025-26 Season
... I just cannot go any higher than 18 total wins....I am going to go with 12-6 in MAC play and I think that will slot us in between 3rd and 5th depending on how bad the bottom of the league is.
I checked out two sites I like to look at, Warren Nolan and Bart Torvik: https://www.warrennolan ...

Re: Game 9, 2025-26: Lowell (12/6)
I got an email yesterday from athletics promoting the BC game in Springfield. No mention of the Lowell game. I hope the team isn't looking ahead to BC and overlooks Lowell. They're down this year, but Duquette is a good coach and they beat our butts last year. I'm expecting a convincing win on ...

Re: 2025-26 Season
^ Well said, 69. He might not care about wins in Nov/Dec, but the fans sure as hell do. He's said many times that he asks us for our time, energy, and money. How can we be expected to give those things if we're told that results don't matter in Nov/Dec?

Re: Game 8, 2025-26: Harvard (12/3)
I've talked about Parker/Carbuccia recently and have been critical of Frank's decision making with them. I've also said I don't disagree with his decision to bring Parker off the bench because it can help lift that second unit that desperately needs someone, anyone, to step up. I was glad to hear ...

Re: 2025-26 Season
I read this on Twitter and thought it was interesting because I was having the exact same thought last night:
@MattCahill22
When I was a student for the Lappas years, I was sad about how bad the attendance was at the end... But even that was probably double (at least) the average attendance of the ...

Re: McGuirk Upgrade
Bamford promised us an update in December, and here we are. Hopefully it all gets unveiled at the super secret exclusive high roller meeting on Monday. I'm just your run-of-the-mill fan and alum. I don't deserve any updates, apparently.
