Spoke to a friend in NJ...Please dont ask for sources, etc...its not BS. They are pricately/or if anyone is interested publicly taking a look at Forbes. If you look at their balance sheet it makes sense...hopefully they are not jerking a few kids around. And he recently saw a former Umass sports man...

My turn to rant... 1. You can blame the athletes if you want, but that would be silly. They are students and if they all fail, you blame the teacher. 2. Optimism is great, but its the same story over and over with this program ... Next season, next season, next season. 3. You go to other campuses a...

I think it PISSES all of us off that we cn't beat Duke in the first round. I'm getting tired of this God damn tournament. Well, Mr. K has time to prove he's worth his salt. I think he will.

Wasnt it Toledo we beat in the 95 maybe 96 tourney where Padilla had a nice fast break pass to Camby for a two hadned backwards jam, or that might have been Memphis.

However, DK gets a little breathing room.

Umass-68
Toledo-64

Nevermind, checked Mike's history scoreboards-believe it was Tulsa.

Re: dk

I personally haven't gone overboard in attacks on DK. That said, it's unacceptable for UMass to lose by 20 to a Green Bay team which was coming off a recent loss to a D2 opponent. It's also unacceptable to lose to Jacksonville State at home when you've had a week to prepare. I don't see how noting ...

Yes I want Glass to start or for Gurley to step up immediately, which he might be able to do. But the starting five we've been putting out there cant get passed Jacksonville State. Nevermind Rhode Island or St. Joes, Jacksonville State!

What would be better: to put Bonner at C, Gaffney at PF, and Glass at the 3 (if he is as good as some of us think) or keep him at PF where he's not doing much. I say start him at the 3 for two games and see what he can do. Then bring in the other guys like Gurley to keep fresh legs on the floor and ...

And I'm sorry if I'm a little upset but just as the program was emerging from mediocrity and I could see NCAA on the horizon over the next five years with TF we are losing to Jacksonville State. Once I accept reality that we are going to have to grind out wins against St. Bona and get blown out on n...

Yes, I am a Umass fan and I'm not here to trash players. I highly doubt he's reading it but if I were his coach I would tell him that I need him to step up NOW! Players who find their groove in their senior year on on GOOD teams. I saw some potential out of Glass and I'm not seeing any production. E...

Chris Lowe better find a jumpshot, and fast and one of the newbies needs to become a 12-15 ppg guy (or Glass if he straps his balls back on) or it is going to be a very long season. This team was not built to play half court. Travis Ford was a good coach, his system works but he really is a piece of...

I think we have enough talent to be very good . To me talent is the ability to do it all. A 4 who can post, step out and shoot and run the floor. Talent is wat Kentucky had and what Fresno state had all those times they crushed us the late 90's. Talent is not the ability to do one thing well. These...

Of course man, I give the kid credit. That's the way I played I was outsized and had little O but I would outhustle everyone and play the whole game. And foul the shit out of someone. One reason why that guy who calls himself John Tate gets my respect. I know this aint 96 but we have to be realistic...

Observations: - I like CLowe as much as everyone else, but he is simply not an NBA player. . Love the rest of your post and no disrespect but No shit! Nobody on this team will sniff the NBA. God, there is no sense of reality around here. Again though, love the rest of your post. Last negative post....
