Re: Game 26, 2023-24: VCU (2/20)

The decision is always, "will playing risk a more serious injury?" The other potential factor is that the SBU game is more important as far as getting the single bye. So maybe he lets Matt heal more for Saturday. We all know that Matt will want to play if at all possible.

I take back what I said in the above post. This is what scares me the most about tonight.

Re: Game 26, 2023-24: VCU (2/20)

We need to take 1 of the 2 this week. From a seeding perspective, SBU is more important, but from a fan view and team confidence view, this game might be more important. Of course, Captain Obvious says you can't win both if you don't win the first one. This is the one thing that scares me about this...

^ I have the beer glass, coasters and coffee mug. I recall the lanyard but have no idea what I did with it. The other 2 guys whose season tickets are in my name are still pissed. They could have paid McCall $10,000 less and given a gift for every season ticket. A better use of that $10,000. :D

Game 26, 2023-24: VCU (2/20)

There's a game tomorrow and nobody seems to give a hoot (hoot is the politest word I could think of). They have 65 posts in their game thread already, but very few about the game itself. They are scary good, having beaten Dayron, Richmond and Loyola. 2 of their 3 losses are to SBU (89-78 and 67-62)....

Sounds like Frank's kind of player.

Re: Festivus Holiday Post: Airing of Grievances About the Mullins Center (aka The Bill)

Are you suggesting it's OK to not do your basic homework before publishing? I was probably too kind with my comment. But in today's world of journalism, it's harder and harder to find people who really do their homework. I'm not sure there's the rule of "2 confirmed sources" any more. Alw...

Here's today's box score in a 68-62 loss to Seton Hall. The condensed version is that he started, played 24 minutes and had 6 points (2/9 from the field), 4 boards and 4 turnovers.

Re: A10 Standing/Seeding Changes Discussion

It looks like the top 4 are set (Dayton, Richmond, Loyola, VCU). It also looks like 5-8 are set for the single bye (SBU, UMass, GMU, SJU) with URI and Duq. fighting for the 9th spot and last single bye. That's assuming that teams win the games that they should win. We know that doesn't always happen...

Re: Game 25, 2023-24: at LaSalle (2/17)

I was gone all day and didn't see or hear any of the game. 2 questions: 1. Did we play any defense in the first half or did they just shoot the lights out like URI did the first time we played them? 2. Why did Matt only play 28 minutes? Did he get hurt? He only had 2 fouls. Other than that, I have n...

The La Salle fans have thrown in the towel. There are a total of 3 posts on their message board. We're not much better.

Back in the day if you were a select 100 member you got a gift. No longer.
Van, that was a Court Club gift, not a season ticket holder gift. You are correct, though, as the Court Club no longer gives gifts.

Re: A10 Standing/Seeding Changes Discussion

I just looked at the schedules of the 3 teams closest to us at 6-6: GMU, SJU and SBU. GMU has a tough schedule and probably goes 3-3. St. Joes and SBU have easier schedules than we do and should go no worse than 4-2 (and that's with a SBU loss to us). If we go 3-3, we finish in a 3-way tie with them...
