My first reaction was that we got jobbed by the refs again. But I have now admitted that it's not the refs, it's just that we don't know how to play defense without reaching and fouling. If the FT discrepancy was only in a game or 2, maybe we got bad calls. But it's happened so many times, it is us ...

I'm not sure where the height info came from. Lyles is a starter and he's 6'9, 240. The other starters from the last few games are:
Johnson 6'0
Young 6'0
Halligan 6'5
Mahaffey (Evan) 6'6

So yes, they do play small with the first guys off the bench at 6'2, 6'6, 6'3 and Barre (6'10) who gets 8 ...

When you watch how the team interacts with Mike, it looks very sincere. As has been said, Sam held that team together, not Verdi.

For those who might've missed it, UMass landed another 2026 commitment from Maurice Barnes Jr. a couple days ago.

Barnes Jr. is a 6-foot-1 linebacker out of Bishop McDevitt (PA). According to 247, he received multiple Power-4 offers.
