Re: Game 6, 2022-23: at South Florida (11/29)

I'm not looking at this as an easy game. Always tough on the other team's court. Their center (Tchewa) is probably the biggest player we will face all year (7'0, 280). If they park him under the basket on D we will need to be creative to get easy shots. I'm looking at this as a low scoring game. The...

Re: 2022-23 Season

I was gone all day and didn't hear anything about the game. Anyone know why Destiny only played 19 minutes? Did she get hurt? Great to have 2 trophies headed back to Amherst. Congrats to both BB teams.

Re: 2022 Season

I said I wouldn't post about FB until we won another game. Oh well, there's always next year. To be serious, everyone has already stated what needs to be done and I agree. OC, QB and a beefed up O line are the main needs. I really like the Haston kid from Florida but I think a QB from the portal, if...

Re: Around the A-10 (2022-23)

^ Here's the Bryant write-up on the game. https://www.bryantbulldogs.com/sports/mbkb/2022-23/releases/20221126tkmj84 As for the ejections, players left the bench after a slapping altercation: In between, tempers flared following an offensive foul on Syracuse. A Syracuse player slapped a Bryant playe...

Re: Around the A-10 (2022-23)

Not A10, but worth mentioning. Jon Wallach @KenGriffeyRules 31m Bryant 73, Syracuse 72. The Bulldogs had 3 rotation players ejected, 2 of their 3 best players foul out, and made a shot with .8 left for the upset. 5-1 on the season. Congrats to @Coach_Grasso11, who got his revenge on Jim Boeheim toda...

Re: Expectations for 2022-23 Season

I wish I could believe Warren Nolan but even my most maroon colored glasses finds this a bit over the top. I hope he's right!

Re: 2022-23 Season

It was actually 22-0. We scored the last 5 points in regulation to tie it, then all 17 in OT. I'll be honest. I was listening to the game and never thought we would pull it out. We were beyond listless for much of the game. I don't now what happened at the end of the game, but that's about as well a...

Re: 2022-23 Season

Drake is favored by 2 and it doesn't get any easier from here. AZ State and Missouri are very good (combined 10-0). Yale and Columbia are also good. Out of 7 remaining non-conf. games, only St. Peters and Dartmouth look easy.

Re: Coach Frank Martin

^ agree with the above; my question is how do we keep him as our head coach once the team is as successful as we want? :? In a word, "ANYA". While I'm half joking, she has received a very warm welcome at UMass and I'm hoping that helps. If we're lucky, Frank decides he likes coaching at t...

Re: Coach Frank Martin

Goodman interview with Frank. Some basketball, some family, life in general and then back to BB. Interesting comments at the end about Noah, TJ, RJ and Gapare. It's a joy listening to someone so down to earth and open vs the BS we heard for the last 5 years. https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1yNGaNMq...

Re: 2022-23 Season

The next game will be a challenge. Drake is good. Their only loss was in OT to now #8 Iowa (they were #4 when they played). They can't turn the ball over 20 times against a good team and expect to win.

Re: 2022-23 Season

Kennedy Cup tonight at 6 on ESPN+ from Lowell. Great opportunity to give some minutes to roster spots 8-14. Lowell is terrible, averaging 47.3 per game and giving up 76. Enough said. Wrong! Up 20+ with three and the starters remain in. I should have known better. I hope this doesn't come back to bi...

Re: KAEO: Noah Fernandes

^ Correct. Only Kante and Martin have used up their eligibility. Everyone else has at least 1 year left if they choose to use it. This is my best guess at how many years each player has left after this year:

1 year:
Noah
Leveque

2 years:
Cross
Weeks
DD
Diggins
Gianni

Everyone else has 3.

Re: Expectations for 2022-23 Season

We have 7 games before A10 play starts. There are no guarantees, but we need to win the games we should: USF Albany Lowell (They aren't awful, but we should beat them at home) N. Texas (They are much worse than last year) Dartmouth That leaves: @ Harvard (Usually a tough game there. They play Loyola...
