Re: 2021-2022 Schedule

I'm pretty sure you can make it work, but probably no logic as to who plays whom. It could be done a number of ways without regard for who wins or loses each day. This is 1 scenario: Day 1: 1 plays 2, 3 plays 4, 5 plays 6 Day 2: 1 plays 6, 2 plays 4, 3 plays 5 Day 3: 1 plays 3, 2 plays 6, 4 plays 5

Re: 2021-2022 Season

Jon Rothstein @JonRothstein Sources: The NCAA has approved that starting on 9/20, two non-coaching staff members in men's and women's basketball can engage in on-court practice activity during the 21-22 season. No more than four coaches and non-coaching staff members combined, may give instruction....

Re: If a FB only inquiry is made to UMass - your preference

I like the idea of a football partnership that includes UConn and Temple. Then they just have to find around 5 more to fill out a conference. They could call it "The Eastern Eight".

Re: Statue Dedication

^ Talk about brain fart    Did I really say D2? Wow!

Anyhow, I can't say enough what a great day that was. I hope the speeches were recorded and will be made available. For those who couldn't make it, it will be well worth your time to listen to them.

Re: Statue Dedication

All the 95-96 players made it, except for Inus Norville. Someone told me he was unable to get time off from work, I think down in the Carolinas. All of Calipari's coaching staff also made it, including several of the managers from the era. Andrew Maclay wasn't there, right? Or am I making that up? ...

Re: Statue Dedication

Sorry I couldn’t be there. Sounds like a great event. I saw pictures of MM on social media and I’m guessing the current team was in attendance. They need to feel the love of UMass that radiated from the honorees. Both the men's and women's teams were there for the statue dedications and the Hall of...

Re: Statue Dedication

Sounds like it was a great event, weather was nice. Great to see those pics. Have to touch each one whenever I enter the Mullins before each game, for good luck Nice pic of the Weeks family with Marcus, posted by Mrs Weeks. Re: Statue Dedication

All of the events were fabulous and very well done. I finally got to shake hands with Dr. J, Marcus, Coach Cal and many others. AP introduced me to Curry Hicks Sage and it turns out I had met him many moons ago at a bar in Northampton. Biggest thrill of the day for me was when my wife and I first ar...

Re: Game two: BC

Hopefully Lytle sits out tomorrow's game. I want his UMass career to be more than 2 games. Just watching our 4th game opponent Coastal absolutely dismantle Kansas. Coastal Carolina is a complete football team. Lytle is out for tomorrow's game and Olsen is starting. I think it's more of a precaution...

Re: Statue Dedication

Yes I’m going with my wife Debbie who I met @ UMass. I have organized a lunch with 10 former players and we will be going over together for the ceremony. I would love to meet you and I’ll be easy to find I’ll be one of the old guys hanging near Julius Erving. Once you play @ UMass you are teammates...

Re: 2022 Recruiting

9/9/2021 - 2022 C Silas Sunday (7-0, 290, 2★) has received an offer from Massachusetts.
He had offer from Rutgers, Wake, St. John's, Illinois and others in 2020 and nothing since. Will have to do some research to see what happened.

Re: 2021-22 Season: Defend the Trophy

Some very interesting ticket news for hockey. Ryan Bamford @UMassADBamford At this moment, we may not sell opening game @UMassHockey tickets on a single game basis. We have sold a record amount of season tickets and will be offering mini-plans starting Monday (9/13). If we have any inventory left, w...
