Re: 2024-25 Season

Just got back from 13 days in Ireland and only had internet access for 2 days. Unless I missed something, it appears that nothing happened in those 13 days.

Are all 14 players on campus yet?

Re: 2024-25 Season

Renewals will begin on 7/9 and you have until 8/16 to renew. This is from Warren Hayden so I'll call it 100% accurate.

Re: 2024-25 Season

While they were weak last year, it's too early to judge how they will be this year. I think we were picked 13th in the A10 poll last year, coming off a 15-16 season (6-12 in conference). I do agree that most of the rest of the OOC will be cupcakes. However, we tend to lose a game or 2 to a cupcake (...

Re: 2024 Recruiting

The #3 tight end in the state of Arizona just committed for 2025. It was reported he had 18 offers. Jax Markovich @jax_markovich 100% COMMITTED! Re: Around the A10, 2023-2024

Tough break for GW. I never hope for a player to get injured, but I'll admit that I like anything that might help us win a game. Garrett Johnson tears ACL, expected to miss 2024-25 season The redshirt sophomore forward missed the final seven games of last year’s regular season and GW’s lone Atlantic...

Re: KAEO: Sean East

It has been mentioned before, but Tony ran him off because he knew that Fernandes (one of his Woodstock guys) was transferring in. Pretty safe to assume that Noah was told he would be the starting point guard.

Re: KAEO: Tyler Bergantino

A bit off topic but I find it kind of sad that the only 3 BB topics that had posts today were about Tyler, Sean East and Tre.

Re: 2024-25 Season

At the least, alternating home games with URI is a must. Maybe pick 1 or 2 other A10 teams and do that as well. It will help the OOC strength of schedule instead of playing so many cupcakes. On a side note, I'm starting to feel a little more optimistic going into this season. Our D and rebounding sh...

Re: 2025 Recruiting

In Frank's podcast with Jay, he inferred that Figger was responsible for getting us Shahid. That's a good start. There's something to be said for having coaches that have been around a while and that have established relationships with so many high school, prep and JuCo coaches.

Re: Coach Frank Martin

Just got through listening to "Just Being Frank" with Jay Burnham. There was a long segment with the new assistant, Matt Figger. Frank named 3 guys who he feels have great shot blocking instincts. We knew about Rivera and Shahid, and he puts Akil in with them. If this holds, our interior D...

Re: 2025 Recruiting

3 more offers yesterday. Maybe it's social media, but I've never seen this many actual offers in this short a time. Bryson Wheatfall 6'4 SG Ian Inman 6'5 SF Bryceson Melvin 6'5 SG I've seen Figger's name mentioned a couple of times. Seems like he is out on the recruiting trail. Marcus Sloan @bigsloa...

Re: 2024-25 Season

Coach Martin is doing an outstanding job building a connection to the community with the team that hasn't been there in a while. McCall didn't do any of this, and I don't remember if Kellogg did or not, but his ties to UMass are so strong and well known. Here's a Gazette article on their recent tri...
