Re: 2025 Recruiting

I watched a recent game of Danny's. He reminds me a little of Curry, but obviously not as advanced. In the game I watched he did not shoot well from the outside but he's quick and can penetrate. Here's a link to his games. If it comes up with "upcoming", tab down to "recent". htt...

Re: Head Coach Search 2024

You know why it's taking so long? Nobody who is any good wants the job. Not hard to figure out why.

Re: 2024-25 Season

Until ASU, we don't play anyone who will give us problems with height. None of them start a player over 6'8 and they don't have anyone coming off the bench over 6'7 who plays any meaningful minutes. CCSU has 3 guys who hit the 3 at over 38%, Lowell hits the 3 at 38% as a team and Northeastern has a ...

Appalachian State fires coach Shawn Clark, source told @ActionNetworkHQ. Clark was 40-24 in 6 seasons w/4 bowl appearances
Anyone know anything about him and why he was fired with a pretty good record?

Re: Game 8, 2024-25: NJIT (12/1)

^ Matt does lead SMU in rebounds at 7.1. SMU plays 10 guys in double figure minutes so scoring is spread out. Matt is 7th in scoring at 7.9 in 24 minutes. He's only taken 39 shots in 7 games. Far cry from when the offense ran through Matt and Josh. Neither is NBA material, but I agree that both have...

Re: 2024-25 Season

Today starts a week with 3 opportunities to get home wins: NJIT today, CCSU Wednesday, and UMass Lowell on Saturday. After the next 2, we have UMass Boston and Northeastern at home. This is a chance for 5 in a row before we play ASU in Springfield. Frankly, we need to play better than we did today ...

Re: Game 9, 2024-25: Central CT (12/4)

CCSU beat Lowell 69-67. The game was at CCSU. Lowell was behind most of the game but took a 1 point lead with 4:33 to go. CCSU then ran off 6 straight points to put the game away. Haven't checked out CCSU but it looks like they have balanced scoring with 7 players averaging between 6 and 13 points. ...

Re: Game 8, 2024-25: NJIT (12/1)

The hand injury to DHS looked pretty bad. He had a splint on it in the 2nd half and only played 11 minutes in the first half. Not sure why Curry was on the bench for the last 8 minutes or so. He has been playing a lot of minutes so maybe because Worthy was playing well Frank decided to rest him. Of ...

Re: Game 8, 2024-25: NJIT (12/1)

Whoa, just got home & turned on the game. Looks like 500 people there. Anyone actually there? 69, DoctorJ? I was there. Official attendance was 2154. They must have counted the band and the cheerleaders. I've given up trying to guess. When I think it's 4500 it turns out to be 3200. When I think...

Re: 2024-25 Season

I had to post this somewhere. In the category of "on any given Sunday", Seton Hall just lost at home by 12 to 0-8 Monmouth. How nuts do you think their fanbase is going right now? You can call him Shaheen Hotseat Holloway. They have also lost to Fordham and Hofstra, but they did beat VCU i...

I would bet on the ESPN listing being wrong. You are correct in that everything else says noon. It better be at noon. My niece and her fiancé are driving down from Haverhill to go to the game with us. The game being at noon made it doable.

Re: Head Coach Search 2024

An NFL coach is available. But after watching the Pats beat the Bears and yesterday's horrid end of game clock management, I'm not sure anyone wants him. He's made history, but not all history is good history. A day after the Bears suffered their sixth straight loss, Chicago has fired coach Ma...

As much as I dislike Dayton (maybe envy, not dislike) I love this score.

Re: Game 7, 2024-25: at Harvard (11/27)

Jay Burnham @Burnham_Jay 14m UMass @ Harvard - 4p 35th All-Time Meeting. MM up 19-15. 9th straight non-covid season playing. UMass without Abdelgowad (ill) & Worthy (family) I don't think that changes the line. Harvard only has 1 guy over 6'7 who plays decent minutes. He's a 6-10, 225 lb center ...
