Re: 2022-23 Schedule

That’s a tough CAA team You are right. 25-9 last year and they return almost all of their key players. The major loss was Terry Nolan, Jr., former PG at GW who then spent a year at Bradley. They have another GW transfer, Chase Paar a 6-10 reserve center/forward who averaged 3.4 pts and 2.7 boards i...

Re: 2023 Recruiting

I'm not sure we need another guard for 2023. We have 5 guards who might all be here in 2023 (who knows for sure) plus Ndjigue. I know I sound like a broken record sometimes about size, but I would like to see Frank bring in a guy next year who can learn from Wildens. Leveque will only be here for 2 ...

Re: Return of Derek Kellogg?

Let's face it, there is going to be a split over this. DK is such a hot topic almost everyone has an opinion and it's unlikely that people will be swayed to change it. My firm opinion is that unless Frank has more clout than we know, Bamford would never go along with this.

Re: Expectations for 2022-23 Season

I upped mine to top 4, NIT. It may take a few games (5-8?) to gel, but we should be pretty good after that. My question has always been "can Frank get these guys to perform close to the level that was expected based on their ratings and the schools that signed them". I'm talking primarily ...

Re: 2023 Recruiting

^ Figured I should add this bit of info. He's enrolled as a post grad in prep school so there's a chance he could reclass to 2022. I have no idea, but maybe this is player 12 for this year. This was taken from a Jan. 2022 article: Robert Davis Jr. is a 6’6 Senior Guard at Hamtramck High School. Robe...

Re: 2023 Recruiting

A 6'6 guard from Detroit. He was offered by the old staff in 2021 and now reoffered by the new staff. He's at a sports oriented prep school in Southern California. Colby Giacubeno @ColbyGHoops 1h 2023 @SocalAcad/@TeamMe7o EYBL G Robert Davis (@robertdav1sjr) has received an offer from UMass while o...

Former UMass G Javohn Garcia (@Jgfromda614) has committed to JUCO College of The Sequoias (CA) @COSMBB
Could it be anything but academics? He's too good to have to do this.

Re: 2022 Recruiting

^ Yes, slightly because he is a 2 time transfer. Only first time transfers can automatically play right away but the NCAA has been very liberal in giving these waivers. So I don't think anyone was too worried (except maybe Noah  ).

Re: 2022 Recruiting

Frank has been consistent in saying he will only use 12 this year so that gives us an extra one for next year. What do we want for player #12? A specific position, a particular size or skill, the best player available? My choice would be a lights out 3 point shooter if we can find one. But after the...

Re: 2023 Recruiting

Looking at the roster, we have only 2 guys who might be done after this year. Noah and Wildens have each played 3 years and can play 2 more if they wish to do so. Therefore, the only spots we have open for 2023 (if both stay) are the scholarships we don't use this year. Jayden takes the 1 scholarshi...

Re: 2022-23 Schedule

Just saw this on Twitter. If this is accurate (I have not checked) we should have 5 games left to announce. That would give us 13 OOC and 18 A10 games for our total of 31. So far I see 2 home games (3 if you count Springfield), one true road game and 4 neutral site games. Michael Bergman @MLBergman_...

Re: 2022 Recruiting

How did he do? Any data? I'm just going on what reports said when he was going to Kent. Ask and ye shall receive. He didn't set the world on fire in EYBL, but he was OK. I like the 2.6 blocks per game. Gotta nitpick here, 2.6 blocks per game (2nd in the EYBL) and leading his team in RPG, over an 11...
