Re: 2023 Game 2: at Auburn
Having a good college kicker is so huge. Majority of FBS kickers are pretty inconsistent. It's probably gotten better compared to 20 years ago but you still see a lot of misses at the FBS level. Since the beginning of last year Carson hasn't missed an XP (18/18) and is 15/18 on field goals inside o...

2023 Game 2: at Auburn
Coming off an upset in week 0, UMass heads to legendary Jordan-Hare stadium as a 36.5 point underdog on Saturday. That line has come down from 39.5 when it opened a week ago. With the over/under being set at 52, Vegas is predicting a final score of (roughly) 45-7. UMass is 9-1 against the spread vs ...

Re: Week 0, Game 1: NMSU First of 2 ESPN Saturday games.
Made a donation to the Midnight Ride Collective last night. Will continue to do so after each win this season.
Please try and get involved if you’re able to. Rutherford, the CB who had the pick 6 in the 4th qtr, is at UMass partly because of the Collective.

Re: Week 0, Game 1: NMSU First of 2 ESPN Saturday games.
Don't buy the hype .... NMST-7 and the Under (45) = easy money Easy money!!! Fantastic win. I actually think it was almost a perfect first game in terms of setting up for success the rest of the season. We are clearly in a different tier talent wise than we have been in awhile, Puma can play and th...

Re: Week 0, Game 1: NMSU First of 2 ESPN Saturday games.
Turnovers will be a big story. This will be Puma's first ever start at QB and regardless of how talented he is I'm anticipating a turnover at some point. Even if the offense is improved and we can actually move the ball a bit, the defense is going to have to carry the day and has a lot on its should...

Line dropped a full point this morning and is down to +6.5 in most places. Money coming in on the Minutemen.

Re: Week 0, Game 1: NMSU First of 2 ESPN Saturday games.
Two things can be true. The talent at QB last year was a major problem and Casula's astonishing lack of creativity with the play calling was also a major problem. Hopefully both are fixed on Saturday.

Re: 2023 Season
Bottom line.. Don Brown wins. Outside of that you really have to like this team. We have seen team after team in college football go from crap to respectable. So why not us?? I though Casula showed well in the video.. not the cringy every one is great. I thought we had a chance last year until I re...

Re: UMass TBT 2023 team
Found it interesting that UMass is favored by 8.5 tonight. Excited to watch these guys play, especially Chaz. Will be a nice trip down memory lane.

Re: NCAA Tournament - 2023
Been a diehard UMass fan for 16 years now and I genuinely don't understand the UConn hate. I know it goes back before my time to them not wanting to play us in the 90's and Calhoun being a prick but they don't remotely come close to Boston College in how insufferable their fanbase and administration...

Re: 2023 Season
If this team wins only 1 or 2 games with the amount of talent they have it could get really ugly. Dropping the program is not an option but I do wonder how Bamford's job security looks if this continues. The entire future of the athletic department hinges on Football being successful. Does the admin...

Re: 2023 Season
If UMass had the 100th ranked offense in the country and not the 130th ranked offense last year, the team wins 3-4 games. It's really that simple. The goal for this year given the schedule (only 3 guaranteed losses) needs to be 4 wins. The talent level should finally be there to make it happen. For ...

Re: KAEO Tafara Gapare
TG was more flawed than BM. He couldn't defend the 3 or 4. He sometimes played the 2 as we were short on guards. Get over the BM stuff please. That was the price of admission in getting an established coach. Let's not run him out of town. No, I'm not going to get over it. Gapare played less than 50...

Re: KAEO Tafara Gapare
Glad you and your kid had fun, Frank. Everyone involved with this program should be embarrassed. Everyone on this board who defended Frank for playing his son 20mpg or tried to play it off like it wasn't a big deal should be embarrassed. The rest of us tried to tell you there were major consequence...
