The problem is Bamford has hired 3 coaches with no HC experience or from years before. If JH doesn’t work out, the AD needs to hire a HC who is the HC at their current school

This will be the first time since UMass rose to FBS where its head coach is of the specification I have long-requested, which is: a recent former FCS head coach who had success.

-Molnar, no (was just a coordinator)
-Bell, no (same)
-Whipple, no (too old/too far removed from ...

I don’t think he did a good job, but low/fair. His coaching/decisions on the field cost a game or two as did his decision to hire 2 DL coaches/no ST coach and over recruiting OL/DB while not trying to bring in DTs

What's done is done.

If Umass can win and compete for conference titles quickly, most will be fine with all this.

Football has a little more runway - if they can win 2 or 3 FBS games this year, that will be great.

IMO This all comes down to Frank.... Hoops had better win 20+ games this ...

Just thinking of hockey, could this ban of student visas cause many of the Umass’ foreign players not being able to get on campus
