Re: Festivus Holiday Post: Airing of Grievances About the Mullins Center (aka The Bill)

^ Yep, they are (or were... did bball stuff move over to the Champions Center?) in the building... but restricted during games. It doesn't make a ton of sense, and there is room in both end zones of the concourse to do something. Boyden also hosts/hosted a ton of trophies/awards for other sports. Wo...

Yep... and not to be the bearer of bad news, but we have another back-to-back trip coming up at GW and Davidson. That's a Tuesday-Saturday, so there's an extra day vs last week's trips.... but they might want to figure this out if fatigue is really a problem.

Moving on... some sort of trophy display would be a nice touch for The Bill.

Whether they won or lost to LaSalle, this was always going to be a big game. It's a big game from a standings perspective, it's a big game to prove to the conference they are for real, it's a big game to prove to the fans that they are for real.

Re: Trigger Burke

Tragic news... Trigger was not only a pillar of UMass Basketball and Athletics, but he was a genuinely good guy. I was lucky enough to have met and interacted with him on numerous occasions... just a stand up individual that loved the U as much as, if not more than, anyone else.

Rest easy, George.

Re: Game 25, 2023-24: at LaSalle (2/17)

That sucked, no doubt. It was worse from a fan standpoint that we stormed back and nearly won it... what a kick in the nuts. But we still fight, which is good to see. Unfortunately, a major missed opportunity. I don't know much about all this being tired talk, the certainly weren't too tired to come...

Re: Game 24, 2023-24: at Richmond (2/14)

Sometime, not sure when, they gave us these bigger, porcelain coasters with the UMass logo on them. Still have em. Only other thing I remember is the lanyard. I don't really care about any gifts. I buy my season tickets to support the program. My gift can be good teams, winning games, thats all I w...

Re: 2023-24 Season

Tough weekend related to the pairwise and standings, but overall a lot of positives to take away. Final scores were indicative, but they played tough with BC. And frankly with the way the first 28 minutes of Sunday's game went, they could have easily been blown out in Newton. Time to take care of yo...

Re: Festivus Holiday Post: Airing of Grievances About the Mullins Center (aka The Bill)

^ Generally nothing surprising. The Mullins, while 30+ years old, is still in great shape and is a great arena. I suspect he didn't really eat anything, and he clearly went in very early and didn't hit any sort of security line issue. Those two areas were the only things I think he missed that would...

besides the backcuts the worst part of richmond is their homer broadcasters. these guys are such homers... Meant to comment on this the other day... give me homer announcers any day of the week! My team, their team, whatever... Johnny Most and Tommy Heinsohn the shit out of that broadcast! The only...

Completely agree... this is not the game to lose to move back to the middle of the pack. Take care of business against a pretty bad team.

Re: A10 Standing/Seeding Changes Discussion

We're 1.5 games behind VCU, play them in our gym, and they have a much tougher schedule upcoming. Double bye is absolutely in play. Yes, it is mathematically in play... I don't think Juice was suggesting it's not from that perspective. I think it's just a matter of how much confidence one has in UM...
