Which (likely) returning playing will improve his game the most next year (2020-21)? Pick 2

^ Kind of shocking to me that the guy who seemed to make the biggest improvement from the beginning to end of this past season garnered almost none of the vote (Tre Mitchell). Maybe everyone thinks he's already so good that it would be hard to improve too much more?

I just don't think the improvement jump will be as big as we'll see with a guy like Walker. We'll seem improvement with Tre, but I'm not expecting him to make some ridiculous jump.

It's hard to quantify, I guess.

Tre had a better first year than, dare I say, Marcus. I think he will improve quite a bit. Not saying he will ever be Camby but he's got his own game and it will be fun to watch.

I left Tre out not because I think he is close to topping out but because it is likelier he may not be close to topping out. I'm looking for a Dana, Edgar or Carmelo out of the rest of the class. Silly? Maybe. Maybe not.

This group we have now is a hard working bunch of kids who will ALL improve, but if Tre is THE most improved of them all, he might not be back for year 3. Fully expect Tre to be one of the most physically improved as he I'm sure is already working out to get stronger and quicker, and thats a scary thing for the rest of the league.
I'm going with Sean and Preston because I think they have huge upsides

Sean East. He can make a jump if he gets physically stronger. He should be able to improve his defense. He plays smaller than his height and will hopefully grow into a more impactful player, where he's grabbing rebounds, winning 50/50 balls, and making plays in the paint.

Having a year in college under his belt should help him understand the importance of taking care of the ball.

He should have a lot of motivation given the guards we're bringing in. I think he accepts the challenge

The ceiling for East is very intriguing. He's already an okay A10 point guard. He bulked up considerably compared to high school and will likely continue to fill out and get stronger and faster.

Agree DD3. Sean has the tools and I think an offseason getting stronger and playing with these teammates will help him a ton. I loved what we heard about him at practice last year and missing free throws/pushups. Shows he wants to work

It may not be the best thing for Tre to be the most improved. That would mean no one else stepped up their game enough. I will take a healthy, craftier, more seasoned and not-burned-out Tre come next March.

That's a great point. I can see Tre improving, but 3 or 4 other guys need to step up their games a lot more than Tre for us to reach the heights we want to.

Santos. Great athleticism, can knock down from distance. A year of maturity, growth, strength and confidence and I think his game improves tremendously and he becomes a key energy guy off the bench.

Well, we seem to be loaded on the wings so it wouldn't surprise me if he was "recruited over" as well. If that happens I'm out on UMass basketball

^If you're referring to Santos, I think he's got a cleaner path to a future with the chemistry with the Woodstock kids and TB in his corner.

I could see him as a 6th man instead of a starter in a scenario where Weeks is totally healthy and ready to contribute from day one. With a starting PG (Garcia? Kolton?), Weeks and Pierre, Tre, and McCall loves Diallo (which is fine by the way. Offensively limited, but a bear on defense, can rebound, and will be a junior), Santos would be a great first guy off the bench. Minutes will be hard to earn next year for sure. The talent level keeps ratcheting up.
